Salah did beat Vardy in the popular vote.

For me a goal of the season is a sign of that player's quality, which is why 'out of the blue' punts - a la Jagielka at Anfield in 2014 - should never win it, in my opinion. The goals by Daniels, Obiang and possibly Wanyama could be put in that category as it was out of character and not seen again from that player. You could say that for Boufal as well.

Sane's goal at Arsenal was beautiful to watch. It was between that, Salah and Vardy for me.

Christ, those are some terrible lineups. For the BBC lot, I quite like Lampard, and think Ferdinand and Nevin provide some decent analysis. Other than that...nah. Bilic is alright for ITV, and I'd be interested to see what Larsson's like, but beyond that it's like a gaggle of idiots. It's almost like they're both trying to get rid of viewers, although no doubt the tabloid reading 606 contingent will lap it up.

Wish someone could persuade Alan McManus to make the leap into football punditry...

I'm a sad bastard so I do occasionally, but only if it's ones I like. The RTE lot can be good at times, didn't mind the Lampard Gerrard Ferdinand BT triumvirate, and there's an American on NBC (or it might be Fox, not sure) whose name I've forgotten who I think is excellent - really insightful, pretty balanced and completely ignores whatever the prevailing media narrative on at given player is, which is very refreshing.

But yeah, generally pundits are fucking useless.

I think the radio team is better at the BBC to be honest. I don't mind listening to the radio either. The ITV line up is just plain awful.

Kyle Martino maybe? He's usually quite good. I don't mind NBCSN at all, it's a million times better than Sky was from when I remember it. And I guess still is!

The main NBCSN commentator is Arlo White, who I don't mimd. But they do use a lot of the worldwide commentators too, so we do get stuck with Martin Tyler some days

And some right gormless pundits doing co-commentary on the world wide broadcasts too. But generally they are better.

Don't think it's that bad really, it's better than the BBC lot in my opinion. There's a couple of very obvious exceptions but Neville and Bilic are very good as pundits and I don't mind Keane (when he's not talking about us) or O'Neill. Larsson and Aluko should be alright and Clattenburg is pretty interesting by refereeing standards. Could be alright.

I honestly don't get it. What justifies that salary? It's not like there would be petitions if he was sacked or he threatened to leave if they reduced his salary.
