Me too. When I've stayed at his he looks at me like I'm nuts when I have the fried rice for breakfast - he'll eat the meat dishes but swerves the rice.

After reading your post though it got me thinking and sometimes I would have some rather runny solids after reheated rice so I did make sure to refrigerate it straight after cooking yesterday and solid as a rock. I will continue to monitor this closely and report back.

Our kid is a trained chef and will under no circumstances reheat rice, something he got taught at college about the high risks of food poisoning as cooking doesn't kill all the bacteria.

I've been sticking rice left at room temperature in the microwave and nuking the shit out of it for nearly 40 years.

Not dead yet

You don't need the former for the latter to happen though.

Pretty sure the coppers would move me on if I sat outside the Brittania with a home made pint - can't see the pub being too made up either.

Also quite a jaunt to just sit there and see the seagulls.

I just leave it in the pot on the cooker and have the rest of it the next day or maybe even two days later. Sometimes fry it, sometimed just have it cold for breakfast. Not dead yet either.
The only times I've had rice go off was when left in a pot with a lid on. It does get smelly though, so you'd notice.

Within an hour of finishing my Fish & Chips last night I felt bloated and out of energy. Woke up this morning feeling the same. Saturated fat really has an affect on your body, and it's not good.

I’m really missing sandwiches from a sandwich shop/bakery.

I worked from home 3/4 days per week normally, sometimes 5 days per week, so the day I was in the office I would have a nice sandwich from a sandwich shop. Or if wfh all week I’d go for a run at lunchtime on Friday and plan my route to end at the bakery so I could grab a sandwich to take home.

Kinda missing that.

Homemade sandwiches don’t feel the same to be honest.

I think I’d even take a Subway at this point.

And pic n mix from Wilkos or the cinema! Have ordered some online but it doesn’t feel the same.

Missing going out for a nice meal. We've got an Italian ordered to collect tomorrow night at 7pm from a local restaurant, if we can't go to the restaurant then we will bring it to us.
