Rather than stay outside of Cardiff, me and me mate have decided to hire a tranny van and throw a double matress in the back, £80 for Sat and Sun, plus about £40 odd for diesel, our travel and accomodation is sorted for about £60 each, just need tickets now

I thought of trying a tranny van, but they only had one available and I couldn't tell if it was a Ford Arthur or a Ford Martha.

Just got lucky!A friend of a friend owns a house in Cardiff and has invited us to stay for a few crates of Lager,just a few stipulations 1)No taking the piss out of birmingham City! 2)No singing,wanking or being sick after midnight!
It looks like it might be busy at 5 to twelve then!

theres 3 of us stayin in the travelodge on the m4. supposed to be 10miles from centre of cardiff. anyone ever stayed there?
we normally stay in the centre but couldn't get anywhere.

We arent camping though we have little hut/bunaglow things so if the camping showers are really rough give us a shout and your welcome to use the one in ours like mate.

You sure its available. It mentions to just turn for Heiniken Cup weekend but not FA Cup. Also, in the guest book a fan has written that he only managed to get in 2001 FA Cup weekend cos of a cancellation. I know that was probably for a bunglow but has anyone actually contacted them to confirm.

Rang them mate after ringing the central Cardiff campsite - this is an overspill site and he assured me to just come along with my tent and no need to book - the field is huge he said

Just called them to enquire about public transport from the site, and they run a mini bus and taxi service too.

£3 each for the mini bus
£15 for a taxi if 2 sharing, but £7 if you share with two others.

Camping, never even thought of that. Stuck for accomodation on the saturday night so will deffo look into it - dirt cheap as well.

Ideally need a site where you can just sling the car and get a bus/train into Cardiff.

The weather in May 2001 was ideal for camping.

I Stayed there in 2001 mate.Its a bit out the way and theres no bar or resteraunt,just the Services(Burger King) but the rooms are sound enough.We booked a taxi (Mini Bus) into Cardiff and kept the number and phoned them later to take us back...........Pissed!

That's what we are doing..........about 6 miles from Cardiff and a few of us can get the minibus at £3 each
