This is what I am talking about, I don't see him turning it around and winning here. Hope he proves me wrong though, far more fun to have Zverev in it than Verdasco

When you say lacking minerals, as in physically right? I'm watching this and it has absolutely nothing to do with his mentality. Physically he seems off. Verdasco has made it a battle and Zverev is not physically matching up.

Everything, I just don't think he has it in him to turn these matches around.

I don't think the problem is physical, there doesn't seem anything wrong with Zverev. His court positioning is wrong and he's not doing anything to rectify it.

Nah mentality is not an issue.

Tactically and the physical aspect is where he is falling short here.

You're looking at it the wrong way.

If you don't think it takes much studying, you should try basing your who living on gambling  ;)

I'm not looking at it anyway, I was responding to your post about watching, reading etc.. then saying there is no way you'd back Konta in this match at 1.04

It's fairly damn obvious, any noob would know that.

I made a good living betting on tennis for about 3 years, I watched, studied, read everything I could.

There's no way I would've put my money on Konta to win this match, infact, I'd have probably opposed her.

And let's be honest if you made such a good living from it for three years you don't just suddenly stop.

You talk a lot of bollocks, which is highlighted in the post that you quoted of yourself!

Verdasco was a nightmare first round match for Zverev!  He's a streaky player who can get hot and hit winner after winner.

None of the top players would've been happy with that draw.

I'm not saying he's tired but i just think in the longer rallies Verdasco is the more robust out of the two.

Zverev needs to fill up more. He's not as scrawny looking as last season but still needs to bulk up more.

Murray's serve looks so poor at the moment. It's never been his biggest strength but it isn't normally an active disadvantage like it is now.

Always shocks me when you see decent single players competing in the doubles as well.

Carlos Berlocq on the back of being hammered by Dolgopolov, straight back on court to play the doubles.

Dennis Istomin progresses to the second round of the singles, but instead of relaxing, goes straight back on court to play the doubles.

Lopez, Evans, Tomic, Schwartzman, Edmund, Basilashvilli, Troicki, Tipsarevic, Bellucci, Young, Youzhny etc. are all at it.

It cannot be helping, surely? But I guess they earn more money this way.
And if the rain stops, and everything's dry.. she would cry, just so I could drink tears from her eyes.

They do it for sharpness, competitiveness, fun and for a chance of winning a slam

At the expense of their singles run. It can't be beneficial to have no rest days, or to place twice in a day.

There is a reason why the top, top players rarely do it during the big events.

50% of points won behind his first serve for Murray in that second set. Absolute turd of a performance.

Comfortable in the end for Murray. Played some good stuff at times but a bit worrying that he has a set in him like that second. Desperately needs to sort his serve out if he's to threaten the business end of the tournament.

Much better than all those twats at the beeb, that's for sure.
