Got back from Dimensions festival in Croatia earlier this week. Four days of house and techno etc in a 200 year-old fort. I'm still a bit broken.
Despite some violent Croatian thunderstorms and rain, the show went on for the most part, and caught some amazing music over the course of four days.
Highlights were: Eamonn Harkin on the Mister Saturday Night boat party; Pangaea, Ben UFO and Pearson Sound in a moat; Maurice Fulton bringing the party back after two hours of power-down during an electrical storm; Marcel Dettmann banging techno; the 2 hours I caught of Theo Parrish's 8 hour set; Daphni in the rain, especially when our concerns that it would get shut down again were unfounded; and Gilles Peterson seemingly playing every genre of music that exists.
Nothing but good vibes and good people, I'd recommend going here to anyone passionate about dance music.
