Showed a side to his game against Ajax and Rangers tonight that I wasn't sure he had to be honest.

Always knew he was a goalscorer but never knew he could drop deeper and conduct like he has.

One of the first names on the team sheet for me.

Don't like him in that second striker role in a 442, he doesn't get on the ball enough.  Looked much better coming in from the left.

Guess we’ll be seeing a lot more of him there in the coming weeks.

Not a fan of the formation the last two games. Jota certainly looks lost. We need the 3 orthodox in midfield and pick our best 3 up top.

I think I’d need more than 106 minutes of league action to judge.

Like almost all of our attackers - he is feeding off scraps.

We don't have any incision from the midfield, rarely ever slip in balls behind, and with Trent and Robbo not producing anything useful - those dangerous cross are non-existent.

Indeed, he was the one that slipped Bobby in for the goal.

Love the way that the BT pricks were talking about his 19 games without a goal.  His game is much more than being a goalscorer, his touch in awkward crowded positions on the pitch is delightful.

Forgetting the facts he’s been injured aswell. He’s criminally underrated.

Diogo Jota assisted three of Mo Salah's goals tonight - it's the first time a Liverpool player assisted every goal for a teammate's hat-trick since Stan Collymore for Robbie Fowler vs Arsenal in December 1995. [Opta]

Turns out he’s a class number 10, who knew.

Definitely not a lot of fans and podcast hosts who constantly question his link up play … he’s just a fantastic all round attacking player.. can play in all 4 positions up front - hes not aesthetically pleasing but his output is top tier

He's also one of our attacking players that still presses like a monster. The amount of mistakes and disruption he causes is central to winning the ball high up the pitch and causing havoc.

The only blemish from his cameo was that lack of finish/bad touch where Harvey eventually scores, not sure what he was going for there...

Don't know about this. He has a grace about him. He's got some unique dribbles in his locker, he perfectly disguises where the balls going to go and just sort of glides through.

I love him, he came on and played like a man possessed.
