The Shrewsbury 24 campaign
« on: July 22, 2013, 12:27:02 pm »
I don't know if there's a thread about this anywhere on RAWK. If so, Mods can delete. But I hope it can run for awhile.

I went to Tollpuddle this weekend and met some of the people running the campaign. They were really nice folk. It's disgusting what happened to them and what is still going on. They deserve our support. So, please have a look through this...
http://www.shrewsbury24campaign.org.uk/

And sign and spread about if you can. We've seen the power of RAWK before. We can accomplish things if we stick together. And it would be really nice to help some of our own.

See them recruiting petition signatures in Liverpool.

Sometimes see Ricky Tomlinson there helping out.

Documents cannot be released on the grounds of national security. I'd love to see some prick trying to explain that one. They just treat people with pure contempt. Just prey for a long hot summer and some rough justice.

I know. But hey, it's been a giggle. I thought it was hilarious when someone suggested Paris and the good Doctor Beaker said, only if it had Ite for a middle name. Good one, Doc.

And good man yourself, for getting the petition printed and passed round. This is something we can actually help with and do, instead of moaning on these boards. But I'm looking like a sanctimonious shite, so I won't badger people into it. In fact, I'm going back on RAWK sabbatical for a while. I only came back on to get this going, but it'll have to sink or swim on it's todd. I need a break from this gaff for a while.

I’ve got the petition printed off and sitting on my desk but judging from the looks I've been getting when I told them what it is about, I do not hold out much hope of getting more than a handful of signatures.

It’s the apathy that really winds me up, it is prevalent in far too many people and it seems to be spreading like wildfire. No one gives a fuck about anything but their own tiny sphere and I really do not hold out much hope for this fucked up country the way things are going. It is truly fucking depressing that they give 1000% more effort, care and attention to the fucking name of a newborn parasite than the real lives of real people.

Fuck it! Fuck it all!

Brilliant news  :thumbup

Just a pity that, like other campaigns against rank injustice by 'the Establishment', it's taken years and some affected have since passed away.
A Tory, a worker and an immigrant are sat round a table. There's a plate of 10 biscuits in the middle. The Tory takes 9 then turns to the worker and says "that immigrant is trying to steal your biscuit"

Good news. Just many years too late. I have read quite a bit into the background of this and their treatment was utterly appalling.

And I think their case lead to employers ramping up their use of illegal blacklists.
