Good allocation? Sunderland cut us every season due to persistent standing and we only usually get an allocation of around 2,300.

No of course I don't think they're allowed. The original point that was made that it was new to see a note of that nature within the actual selling details of the away match - it's not mentioned in the terms and conditions and the Newcastle match example was a one off article. So the point the person was making is right

It's not in the notes or terms and conditions that rockets propelled grenades aren't allowed into stadia either...common sense would tell you it's not a good idea..

Some clubs do include stuff about smoke bombs and other incendiary devices, some don't. But the fact that it is illegal to take them into any stadia over rules any club specific terms.

It's almost certain that most will carry warnings now due to the increase in their usage.

Heading over from the States in December.  Am going to the Norwich match on the mid week (4/12), but would love to go to the Hull match on the Sunday (1/12).

As I won't have any previous credits I know I won't have a chance to get tickets through the club, any idea what kind of chance I'll have to pick up a couple of spares for the Hull match?  Is it worth the effort to try and get them through the ticket exchange here?

Thanks!

Of course it's worth a try. But remember that the capacity of the KC Stadium is under 26,000 so there probably won't be many spare tickets flying around. Hull's next home Premier League match is against West Ham United on Saturday 28th September. West Ham have been given 2,500 tickets so that will probably be our allocation too.

Also, another thing I noticed on there when I went to basket after selecting one was a 'comments' box next to the ticket which basically was there should you want to reserve for collection at the TO or have it sent to an alternative address. They've taken it down now so can't show the actual thing but it's stated there in the info.

Now that would be very handy. Other clubs do it for their home and away games so it should be easy enough.

Here's the main bit relating to aways...

Quote
3.8.
AB said that when Liverpool played Swansea tickets were £45, even after the discount, yet Everton paid £30 for the same fixture. Over a season, fans from the same city, sitting in the same seats and using the same facilities are paying upwards of £200 more than their rivals. As a Club, can we not lean on the other clubs to say enough is enough and demand a change, as the current situation is an abuse of loyal fans.
3.9.
PD said that at every PL meeting, representatives from LFC and Man Utd make this case strongly, but when the smaller clubs rely on the larger clubs to provide much needed revenue, they are not going to vote for a change that may damage their revenue. Each club is a sharehold er in the PL and when the smaller clubs outnumber the larger ones, its difficult to action change. We agree that it is not right at all and will continue to push hard particularly in conjunction with Man Utd, but we cannot force pricing policy on other clubs.
3.10.
BH said that it is clear that there is a willingness on behalf of LFC to explore reciprocal arrangements if and when they are presented. As this matter is important to travelling fans, it could be explored further with the ticketing sub-committee to determine if a sustainable solution can be identified. PD agreed that this was a good idea. The Club is open to suggestions, but any solution needs to be sustainable.
3.11.
BH asked the Club for an up to date analysis of ticket availability and the reasons behind the ‘closed shop’ approach to ticket allocation.
3.12.
PD confirmed that the Club loses money on away tickets through credit card fees and postage , but the system in place is currently viewed as the fairest way of allocating tickets even though some consider it to be a closed shop. The Club are happy to look at how we sell tickets and would welcome the dialogue.
3.13.
BH agreed that it was good to reward loyalty. However, it’s important that everyone is given an opportunity to take part. It was agreed to take this point forward to the ticketing sub-committee where a wider debate can materialise and options for improvement presented.
3.14.
AN asked how are away tickets allocated to staff , hospitality, partners, sponsors and players.
3.15.
PD confirmed that staff are not allocated any away tickets at all. In accordance with PL rules, each club must make 60 tickets available to the playing staff. However, these are not included in any data provided by the club when reporting allocations for away tickets. They are treated as a separate allocation. Usually, the players don’t take more than a couple of dozen and the remainder are re-allocated to travelling fans. The 30 official sponsors and partners of the Club get a maximum of a couple of dozen tickets between them, which are very rarely taken up. Thomas Cook is not allocated any tickets at all to sell on to fans, not one. Any tickets not taken by players, sponsors or partners are made available to fans by means of the late availability sale. Around 10% of the away allocation is sold to hospitality fans.
The Club keep the percentage in line with the percentage of seats at Anfield taken up by hospitality members for home games. It is important to note that the vast majority of our hospitality members are not running multi-national organisations, but local supporters who own small businesses. They are 100% Liverpool fans. This allocation is also always oversubscribed and we frequently turn people away. We have strict criteria for how they can apply and monitor sales closely. To be very clear, this policy has been in place for a number of years and is not new.
3.16.
BH said that there is some suspicion that some tickets for the Everton game went to Toyota. BHo confirmed that Toyota are not a corporate sponsor and therefore this rumour is completely false.
3.17.
AB asked for clarification around the £200,000 fund to help travelling supporters, particularly in light of the announcement from Man City that the club and players will be matching the donation.
3.18.
PD clarified that the £200,000 was provided by LFC and that it was the same for all PL clubs. No money was provided by the PL, as clubs were expected to find the money themselves.
Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager. Thank you so much once more and always remember: You'll never walk alone."

so basically...

out of an allocation of 3000 tickets

300 goes to Hospitality
say 30 playing staff/coaching staff take 10 each roughly that's another 300 gone
then another 300 or so to sponsors and the likes.

That's 900 tickets that the genuine fans are missing out on which is quite a lot.

Obviously they are just rough estimates but that's a high number of tickets.

I've always wondered why there are so many returns but I can see why now, with us being more attractive at the moment because of how were playing it's not a surprise that there aren't very many returns.

I dont know how you managed to get to that figure mate....

The club allocate 60 tickets to players. These are NOT included in the numbers released by the club. He says that although 60 are allocated to players, usually only a couple of dozen (i.e. 24) are taken from that 60 total and the rest are allocated to fans.

The 30 sponsors get a MAXIMUM of 24 tickets between them, so 24 in total.

So effectively a maximum of 60 for players and 24 for sponsors. So 84 in total.

He does say though that 10% of away tickets goes to hospitality....This is too much in my opinion.

I'm not sure that's correct at all. The way it worded suggests to me that playing staff and sponsors alike get a certain number between them, rather than individually. So 60 at most for players, couple of dozen for sponsors etc. The hospitality figure is right though.

EDIT: Beaten to it  ;D

No wonder they made a big fuss of saying Toyota don't get tickets and arnt a sponsor as it's honda. And also the players onl taking a couple of dozen is bollocks. Daniel sturridge has at least 6 at every away I've been too.

bit surprised nothing has been announced on everton yet considering arsenal was straight up on the Monday as no returns, as for hull I cant see many returns and if there are I think it'll drop to 14 and sell out especially if we beat everton. If you look at hull cheap away, down the road and kick off is at a decent time.

If he does, he probably asks some of the other players for a couple of their allocation though, so it's still not going to be more than 60 tickets
