Which he said was a tired tackle. Five minutes into Choudhrey's game. Their preplanned assassination. It's almost as if that Hodgson loving dinosaur Murphy doesn't like foreign footballers.

Comes across as very xenophobic in that rant doesn't he.

"There was an influx of Spanish and foreign players and staff and that took away from what Liverpool was all about. It has been going on for years."

Talking like Liverpool isn't an international city. Parochial little englander bellend

That is a large majority of the brexit mindset in one quote right there. Fucking incredible how people cling to these mindsets still. Sad prick.

All of the pundits you have mentioned are clients of the same agency. That isn't a MOTD problem though look at Sky and it is the same thing. Listen to a pundit spout Xenophobic ill uneducated crap and then look at who their agents are.

It’s a parochial island mentality that emanates across the entire game (and endemic across the country with Brexit supporters). It’s why this country continues to put faith in stodgy, uninspiring route one tactically inept dinosaurs like Allardyce and Hodgson - who incidentally, their careers have amounted to sweet fuck all which strangely seems to pass the pundits by. Anything seen as remotely intellectual is put down. Tactical innovation is seen as weird and eccentric, and sports science is laughed upon.

It’s this ‘us v them’ mentality. A macho, alpha-male nationalistic culture of hollow bravado is being undermined by ‘soft Germans’ , ‘laptop geeks’, ‘tiki-taka’ ‘big girls blouse’ etc. It’s a threat to these dinosaurs identity, they feel like they’re being emasculated and so the reactionary bigots they are batten down the hatches and fight against the Johnny Foreigners.

At times, this is very explicit in your jobsworth failures of English football like uber-c*nts Allardyce and Pardew, yet it’s also a lot more subliminal and unconscious for so many others, particularly in the attitudes of Lineker towards Mane’s ‘dive’ yesterday (won’t give Danny Murphy the pleasure of talking about him, he just comes across as your standard Little Englander, cut from the same cloth of your ‘proper football men’ Allardyce and co). Remarkably though for Lineker, for a guy who comes across as very liberal on his twitter feed, there’s a weird hypocrisy there with regards to Kane doing it and Mane doing it. Maybe it is just sour grapes and tribalism from a guy who played for Leicester and Spurs, but it does ask questions about the unconscious bias against other nationalities.

Ultimately, such conservative mindsets sow the seeds of English footballs stagnancy and inferiority. This belief that the old ways were better and that we are a morally superior race of human beings leaves us with no room for foreign ideas. And the result of this attitude is seen in the catastrophes of colonialism, Brexit and seeps down to all forms of culture including football, where Englands arrogance and conservatism results in humiliation in international tournaments (getting beat by fucking Iceland because of that fucking tool Hodgson).

If there isn't any decent analysis, who is going to bother with it.

So he decided to play their new 50 mil full back out of position and take out Zinchenko to keep the ill player in the team? Properly weird. With Walker's ego it's hard to tell if he just couldn't be arsed. Not entirely sure I buy it. Shame Fernandinho fucked up his last man foul for the second goal. Might have seen Walker playing centre back!

I actively avoid the programme and have done for a long time. If I've missed a game and can't get the goals elsewhere I'll tune in for our game but turn over straight after and don't listen to the bullshitters in the studio. Its all so tedious and hypocritical, so why bother?

I always pop in here after it finished. I am scratching my head at the moaners. I always ask why do you watch it? If it's shit for you there is other platforms you can watch highlights of the games? I watch it with a giggle really. I don't take much notice of the analysis or even what the managers say. I have watched it for 30 years and it use to be worse than now with one main game on and that could be a boring 0-0. Atleast back then the managers had more character and actually said something controversial etc

No I think there's a decent story there at Chelsea.. they've bizarrely become almost likeable recently.. maybe it's the times we live in or maybe it's weed but got young players coming thru doing well and possibly got the right manager for it. Got time for Lampard.

Shearer analysing the times Wolves cut ADPRFC open through the middle on the counter. One is stopped when Rhodri (I think) hauls the attacker down. Shearer "A clever foul ends that one" said with admiration rather than criticism. Hypocritically inconsistent.
