Summer leagues like MLS just play through the World Cup usually.

It's not like the likes of Salah can just put their feet up for 6 weeks and be ready to start on Boxing Day. And the likes of Ox, Keita, Ramsey and Kelleher will need game time anyway.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if we organized a few friendlies to keep us match conditioned and work on a few things over the break. In some ways the 6 weeks is a decent period similar to a pre-season where hopefully our players can recharge and recondition and put in the hard yards to finish the 2nd half of the season very strongly.

Sitting on their thumbs would lead to a whole range of season ending injuries. :D

Klopp is being coy on new injuries in the presser.

And someone on reddit believes that Konate will have a late fitness test (according to his cousin who works for the Athletic - I know I know)

That would be fun seeing Foden up against him and Haaland against Gomez  :'(

So now we need an injury prone Gomez to start every game at RB because we have no deputy to Trent. And we need Konate to start every game at CB because his rotation option is playing at FB.

See you all in here to discuss our bad luck when these two pick up their inevitable knock.

Shock horror here we are 3 days later  ::)

Wouldn't be a problem if we a had proper backup RB

I cannot stand people who lose their shit over someone not in training photos for one session

FYI this exact same thing happened last weekend when Thiago wasnt in the training photos, people lost their shit and panicked and he started the game. Konate is coming back from injury and played 70mins 36hrs ago, how about instead of people getting all worked up they wait and see what happens game time

Losing your shit now over a rumor is just pathetic and doesn't help you or anyone

Not really anything to do with the training photos, the rumour was about hours before they even come out. Not seen anyone losing their shit either, just expressing concern if he was to be out.

It was bad enough in this fixture last season. It'd be unfair on the player to do that, it'd be hanging him out to dry.

We need Konate/Virg/Gomez for this, but I'd put Fabinho at the back before Milner, even though we need him in midfield. You've at least got Henderson and Thiago.

You'd dread the team news every week now, hoping Dr Death hasn't seen anyone else injured.

Well he came of early against Rangers and isn’t in training photos…

Milner at full back? Against Grealish that wouldn’t be so bad.

Konate is only just back from injury so subbing him early in a game we're dominating and then letting him sit out training to have more recovery time after his first game back does make sense.

Surely there’s other alternatives? Nat Phillips CB and Gomez right back? Hopefully Konate is okay though.

Milner at right back just completely nullifies our right hand side.

Isn't Ramsay injured himself? If not, he needs to start, starting Milner would be a terrible move.

Hell of a baptism for Ramsay, if he is even ready to start.

to be honest I don't think Jurgen would risk killing Ramsay's confidence v Foden, who can torment the best RBs around.

Someone suggested Hendo at RB which I'd prefer to Millie.  Or maybe Fab at RB.

Wow.
