Rejecting a contract you don't like and skulking off without taking leave of your teammates of the past 5 years are 2 different things surely.
The infallible wank stain
Lolzies. More chance of a wank off the pope than beating United, I'm afraid. It is beyond Benitez, apart from when they were at their lowest ebb, when we knocked them out of the FA Cup. They certainly aren't anywhere near there now.

Totally unthinkable.

If he wants money, he could have joined the MLS, J-League and even Aussie league for endless off pitch money making opportunites, given his captain Socceroo status and missus' an actress.

If he's serious about his football career, he could have joined Serie A, or even some mid-table English clubs. Why Galatasaray?

Rejecting a contract you don't like
that's a disgrace after all the chances he's had at Liverpool then he has the cheek to turn round and reject a final chance and tells you the sort of character the lad is in my opinion

The deal's off, as he's just ruptured his pen when attempting to sign his personal terms.

Perhaps Galatasaray are the only club who haven't realised he is an injury prone waste of space?

Im not prepared at all to wish Kewell the best of luck at his new club. Couldnt give a shit about him. I hope he has a shite time over there.
I am happy to wish Pongolle good luck at Atletico though

I totally agree, he was just one big let down whilst here, shithouse and a greedy bastard.

Moving to Gala just shows how much respect he has for his former clubs, c*nts trick, glad to see the back of him.

Gareth, totally agree, however, I know a load of Leeds lads who will be frankly goin fu**in mental about the fact that Harry Girl was in the team the night that Leeds played Galatasaray and 2 of their lads were stabbed to death, insensitive - just a bit bearing in mind Leeds was where he made his name (and where he was actually a good player to watch!!) and considered to be  one of their heroes - it is funny how we all forget about families feelings etc when it's not us, I really do believe that forgiveness is a massive tool but the 2 famiies of the 2 lads will still be very upset and Harry won't be helping by going there.

Has nobody on this thread realised all this????

How unambitious are these Galatasaray folks? Don't they have younger, hungrier and fitter players over there? Kewell at the end of career?
What a nonsense.

Very surprised he's gone to Istanbul with an English wife and a young family.

Nothing against Istanbul of course but the huge change in culture gives me concern for them.

Of course, concern about the culture being the first words that pop to mind.

Not, of course, about excitement, language, multi-cultured upbringing, history, weather, or raising a kid in this world who has a Turkish friend to watch the fucking football with. No, definitely, concern comes to mind. I hear they still have bones through their noses.

Perhaps Galatasaray are the only club who haven't realised he is an injury prone waste of space?

They have a knack for making piss poor moves. It might explain why they're struggling to get to the next level as a business - the odd piece of domestic silverware nothwithstanding, they've been dominated financially by Fenerbahce, and done practically fuck all in Europe. Ali Sami Yen is going to need some of the finest bulldozers known to man, they've been there that long. Anyone gone to Liverpool-Galatasaray remembers.

Signing Kewell may be a masterstroke, but I doubt it. It's much more likely Harry found a club who believes he is *not* gonna trip over the soap in the shower.

When asked about whether the relationship between Leeds and Gala affected his decision, he came out with some shite about moving on and doing what's best for his career.

Yeah. I'm sure the families have moved on you disrespectful shithouse.

How anyone can defend this peice of shit is beyond me. Injuries aside, he was never committed to the club, and his decision to reject a new deal after all we've done for the scumbag proved that he was only in it for the money, despite already being a multi millionare.

Consequence of the injuries.

Besides we could have offloaded him sooner.

His brain or heart wasn't injured as far as I know. And while he had talent, he never fullfilled it NOT because of the injuries, but because he never had the passion or desire. Can't stand c*nts like that. Fuck him.

cf my post on the Crouch to Portsmouth thread:

I never liked it when we signed him , but he won  lost me over and never let us down , unlike some other more welcomed signings over the years.....there will be a game at Anfield this season when we're struggling to break someone down when there will be a collective thought of "I wish we had Crouch on the bench well at least Kewell isnt on the Bench"....I hope he gets a fantastic welcome when he comes back

the only reason he wasnt injured during a transfer window was because he'd been injured the preceding months and had got through that particular. how do yer know we never tried to sell him ? quite possibly not but that may have been more a case of us not trying to sell a crock.
