Its gonna be interesting, watching all this unfold, from a corporate perspective I can see a number of issues if they make us transfer any additional tickets after 1 into other names :
1. The club sell seasonal hospitality with the benefit of a car parking space for every 2 seats held in one name for premium level and centenary club and for every 4 seats for dugout/ Premier club. If we can no longer hold more than one seat in a name what happens to firstly our contracts which all have them in one name, the club would have to draw new contracts and issue new cards at enormous cost for a huge number of hospitality members including bt sport, premier league, Russell Howard, numerous lfc sponsors lfc current players and the company that creates the membership packs for lfc
2. A few seasonal hospitality members own there seats in a business name for clients and Normal season tickets in their own name which they use how do you get around that?
3. Players such as VVD etc own private boxes, with obviously a card for each seat, how do you get VVD to give 10 names of people and address proof for each seat, he won’t.
4. Numerous sponsors such as Standard Chartered own boxes, you can’t expect them to give upto 24 names and addresses, they would go mad.
5. The current stance by the club is the physical season tickets can be used by the named holder plus whoever else he wants providing he attends. The e-tickets can be transferred to whoever with rumours a new rule being introduced where once a ticket is transferred it can’t be recalled and reissued unlike now.
Ultimately for corporates I think they’ll just make us confirm our ID and address once for however many tickets we hold, or they’ll end up pissing off 3000 corporates including sponsors, players and local businesses.
