Not bad odds, that. What are they for top half, if that market is open yet?

Bet365 seem to be the only bookie with a market on that so far, and Saints are 7/4 for top half finish.

Weird. Oddschecker not showing Sky prices, slackers.

Although just checked Sky site, and they already shortened them to 7/4.

I know it’s Scotland, but there’s got to be some value in them somewhere tonight, up against a totally new squad, with next to no international experience.

Bet365 done their points totals. Lfc over 87, spurs over 65, soton over 49(i have them high 50s. Since the 0-9 game they actually gained more points than leicester equating to a 59 season), sheffield over 43, man u over 74 (was initially going under but their average ppg with that bruno fella 2.28 ppg projected 86 unlikely to get 86 but high 70s), burnley over 42. 6 fold. Others that stood out newcastle over 40, villa under 37, wolves over 60(slight improvement with no europa league this season) and most surprising everton over 56. Averaging 1.5 proj 57 under ancelotti. Positive signings so maybe they could hit 60.

Yeah I love this market - can get some mad odds on an accumulator.

Personally will be including Palace & Newcastle over 40 points - Palace have done it every season since they came up 7/8 years ago, as have Newcastle 3/4 years ago and both making good signings. Will also be going Leicester under 58 as I think 1.5 ppg with Europe to contend with is their ceiling.

For those of you who like to do pre-season bets i always find some interesting ones on Sky at this time of year.

https://m.skybet.com/football/2020-21-requestabets/event/26180917

I like to look at the Premier league "Multiple team request-a-bets" and look at the bets which are around 14/1 or more and see if any seem plausible.

Brighton to win first three is 80/1

Start with Chelsea at home. A lot of new signings, many have been away this week might start cold

Newcastle away - evenly matched

Utd at home.

Not the most ridiculous shout. Wouldn’t fancy it later in season but at the start perhaps

Newcastle and Everton to score 2+ @ 10/1.

Both got new 'exciting' transfers. West Ham arent a happy camp at the moment and they were shit for vast part of last season. Can see Wilson kicking Newcastle on. You never know what Spurs side you are gonna get, but i fancy Everton to be up for it tomorrow.

Can see Arsenal having shots for fun, Aubamayeng and Lacazette 7+ on target, 33/1.

Only slight concern is how long Lacazette can last.

Got an Acca on with BET365, £10 would have got me £4,000 but edited once I saw the Utd/Palace game so it’s dropped to £1,000 as the Leeds and Everton results had already come in, so missed out on those odds after the edit.

Need Newcastle, Villa, Tottenham, Leicester, City and us to win.

Fingers fucking crossed!

Sorry to come in here and do what all lucky betters do, but fuck me what an easy weekend. Arsenal returning 3.75, Newcastle 3.55, Southampton 2.75, City and Chelsea 2.05, Wolves 2.04. Only one team let me down and I wont be backing them as half/full time again for a couple of games. Odds are pretty good at the moment, and the perceived unpredictability is making for some pretty profitable weekends. Good luck lads.

City and Chelsea 2.05? I assume that was in-play as they were 1.3 and 1.5 when I looked.

Agree on Newcastle though - that was easy pickings yesterday, bookmakers had a 'mare there.

I’ve had a great weekend with Vestergaard scoring, Southhampton winning and arsenal winning

Don’t think I can touch the the remaning games

Fulham v West Brom - anything can happen

Same with

Leeds v Leicester

I’m tempted by Leeds and will probably back one of their cente half’s to score anaytime

I had singles on both Arsenal and Southampton

Should of gone on Newcastle but went with goal scorers instead of the outcome

Interesting match between Austria and Norway tomorrow.. The Norwegian squad were gathered in Norway prior to home match  against Romania and away to Austria. Norwegian health authorities intervened and cancelled the home match. The squad were then refused to go to Austria and they were sent back to their clubs.

Then an emergency squad has been collected consisting of Norwegian players from clubs outside of Norway. It is not a pub team, but it is not a strong team which has never played together. The odds have been slashed, but Austria could score a few if they show up as they have done previously in this group
It’s not even about individuality, it’s about the team. Our game was based on his controlling of the tempo. Squeeze the life out of the opposition and then strike. That is our game. Like a pack of pythons.

14 teams were odds on to win in this round of CL fixtures so I stuck a fiver on them all to win at 200/1 for a laugh - all won except us and Atletico tonight  :(

SPOTY 2020. Considering barely any sport will be played this year due to covid the current favourites are fury 5/4 joe wicks 10/1 hamilton 10/1 henderson 12/1. Now lets say the league is continued, as it sounds like it will, it sounds like henderson wins the pfa. So basically an lfc player is going to be in a vote. Surely he wins if we organise the voting? In the same way giggs won in 2009. Downside is you have to wait till december but could pay for christmas.

They’ve stopped releasing voting figures but i think around 90k would be a winner.
