Feels like a big game if we win; lose and it will just feel like more of the same for this season.
Yeah.

But reality is, though, that I honestly could not give a flying fuck which way it goes. That's not me showing a lack of support for the team. It's just the reality is that Boris the clown will again fuck things up with the virus and there will be a reneging on restrictions and whatnot, leaving us with another soulless season of football next year as no fans can enter the grounds. That's not me trying to be pessimistic or contrarian for the sake of it. It's just at this point, it's what I'm expecting.

They get away with it though because we tear each other apart instead of looking at the bigger picture.

But what exactly is the (real) cause, when the MUST guy said himself that they'll go silent again once they are biggest spenders again?

It's easy to hide behind the 50+1 thing when you know full well it won't happen anyway. It's a nice shield to stand behind when you also know full well you'll be quite happy to turn mute if a gangster or sheikh suddenly turns you into the biggest spenders once more.

The coaches thing is not the same. At Anfield it was 99.9% good fans and the odd idiot throwing a bottle. What we have seen in Manchester is probably 5% who know what they are actually there for, and 95% there for a piss-up, a fight with stewards and police, a great excuse for a ruck and to sing anti-scouse songs about poverty whilst supposedly protesting about greed. The overwhelming majority there have no credibility whatsoever, clearly exhibited by their brainless, moronic behaviour.

One of the saddest things about this entire United fiasco is that after the ESL there was a real desire in football fans for positive change to take place. So many people were shaken out of their apathy and wanted to make their voices heard. Then what happens: this shower hijack the whole thing, turn it violent, make it all about them, and turn most decent football fans away from the whole thing. They set the quest for change back, rather than pushed it forward. The balloon then let out air and has now deflated.

The thing is more has happened since Chelsea fans and United fans protested outside their grounds than has happened for years. Chelsea and Spurs have agreed to fan representation on their boards and the Glazers and FSG have agreed to meet their supporters trusts.

🤣

The Hut Group has pulled out of a proposed training kit sponsorship deal with Manchester United worth £200m over 10 years after the retail giant expressed concerns it could be boycotted by fans protesting at the club's owners.

United’s group managing director Richard Arnold was told on Friday, May 7, that the Manchester-headquartered group would not go ahead with the contract which was due to start on July 1, the Observer has reported.

The money point is entirely relevant (and valid) for United fans to raise, because their argument with the Glazers is that they have taken a fortune out of the club.

If it were 95% dickheads up for a fight, the 30 or 40 police at the initial protest point wouldn't have stopped 1,900 of them, would they? Even when they moved to where they thought our coach was coming in, they were walking calmly.

Football tribalism is great for atmosphere. It makes discussions like this farcical, though.

Would've thought Jota would be better coming off the bench than Mane of late but either way hope we use them to make use of the fitness advantage.

Don't worry about our defence, theirs is no better so it's up to us to do the business up front.

Fuck their fake protests, let's go in and take the points and move on.

Game of the Season this.

Yeah the odds may be against us but surely the lads will be truly up for this.

Full on attack Kevin Keegan style - we owe them a kicking.

Pretty sure this wont be a 0-0 expecting a lively 3-4 with Mo getting a few, plenty of tough tackles to see how up for it they are with a Europa Final upcoming.

Its time things started to click for us after this weird season - why not tonight!

If we are to get beat lets go down fighting.  :scarf :scarf :scarf

The United supporters have played a blinder.

Gets the match postponed knowing they would not just call it a forfeit. United puts out a C string squad vs LC and gets beat, but everyone just shrugs their shoulders "What was poor Ole suppose to do?  Bad bad PL."

To top it off Liverpool's best CB at the moment gets injured inbetween the two dates. The think they pulled this off with a large percentage of LFC supporters cheering them on.

Its insane that our club and fans are okay with this fuckery. This could cost the club top 4 spot and set us back for a season or two.
