Spoiler
thought the last scene was fantastic, can't wait to see where Jack goes from there.

I'm quite nervous how they will wrap up the alt timeline, is Des going to get everyone together and try to give them near death experiences?

The preview for next episode was awesome, Locke taking out Widmore's army!
[close]

Spoiler
No episode next week I think, which is crap.

When Locke said "You're with me now"; does that mean Jack's become like Claire and Sayid?

It's defo heating up.

Spoiler
What's the deal with Jack's altverse wife? Definitely feels as if it's building up to some big reveal. It's not Sun, Alex, Claire, Kate, Eloise etc. Juliette maybe but that would seem too obvious. There's something going on there. There's no other reason to deliberately keep her off camera.

I'd just like to point this out before M Morse does:

Spoiler
As per usual in the alt timeline someone looked at their reflection, but tonight Jack looked into a mirror and saw...Locke!

Forshadowing perhaps?

My memory is probably going, but I can't remember out how Claire knows that Jack is her half-brother. I think Jack is told about Claire by her mother at Christian's funeral when Jack is off the island. I can only guess that the smoke monster told her while he was using Christian's body?

Wasn't she told after her car crash, by her Mum's bedside in the hospital, and Christian turns up? Season 3/4 maybe.

Spoiler
Was a definite filler episode. Fairly entertaining but a bit disappointing. Its set things up quite nicely though I suppose.

What has Sayid done with Desmond? Definitely hasn't killed him. Maybe there is still some good left in Sayid.

Didn't see Richard, MIles or Ben once..

Can't actually remember, all seems a very long time ago now, but I think you could be right there, might well have been smoke monster/christian. Claire's an interesting one, Aaron was obviously meant to be raised on the island, and not by anyone other than her, so surely he'll make an appearance in these last few episodes?

Half decent episode which I think they have used as a set up for the finale. Think it's pretty clear now that Desmond is the new Jacob. Have no idea how they are going to end this which is definately adding the excitement to it.

Two things that confused me about this episode, and not in the usual 'WTF just happened' Lost way, I mean what I saw as potential mistakes:

Spoiler
Firstly, Claire. The way Jack and Kate left her was ridiculous. Sayid you can understand because they have no real relationship with him and he is arguably much more evil than Sayid. But Claire? Like Kate said, the reason she came back to the island was to get Claire . . and she's Jack's half-sister. She turned up in the end though I suppose so it doesn't matter now, just thought it was a bit odd how Jack and Kate left her behind seemingly without any fight.

Secondly, the ending. When widmore's bitch came in to warn Locke and his crew that they needed to give Desmond back else they will get mad lol, the woman goes 'Do you have my position?' I understand if they could get her position to send that missile or whatever around them (since they could track their location through her). However, how the fuck did they all know that Locke and his people were on that specific part of the island right at the end, when they blew up all of his other people (and almost Jack and Locke)? Surely there was nothing to track their location right there and also if anything, Sawyer and Kate would have said that Jack is probably there since he's making his way back, but Locke was nowhere near there :S

You reckon a pair of binoculars from Hydra island to the other one would have done the trick?

I deffo reckon because they are on the south of one island and the north of the other or whatever they can see the beach, deffo.

The claire thing was a bit strange, but Kate did fight it a little, however she also tried to kill Kate, and they can all see she is bananas,....

Also - it has been said before but I'll say it again, what are people actually dissapointed with?  No massive firefights, explosions, the answer to everything?

Spoiler
We got a solid answer, and nice cliffhanger with Desmond/Sayid, the potential war kicking off, more information off island where the losties are all being pulled toward each other (Claire and Jack, Sawyer and Kate, Sayer and Miles arresting Sayid, Sawyer and Miles potentially arresting Desmond for running Locke over.  Sun seeming recognising Locke?)
[close]

All good stuff - 4 episodes to go now.  Is that 2 episodes and a double, or 3 episodes and a 'feature length' finale?

I wasn't dissappointed with the progression of the story, more on how condensed the episode was. It really felt rushed to me.

Mind you I did watch it late last night after getting in from a 6 pint session. I always watch it again on the Friday in HD, so will reserver further opinion until then.

Three episodes and a double finale I think.

Yeah, according to Lostpedia we've got three "normal" epsiodes ("The Candidate", #15 and #16) and then a two part finale. They've got a recap episode listed as airing in between episode #16 and the first part of the finale as well.

Where's Miles? Completely forgotten which camp he was in, thought it was strange they weren't taking him with. Is he already with Widmore's group?

I take it when Sun got shot she had here little alt-verse flash, and that's how she recognizes Locke. Wonder what Sayid's done with Desmond, surely he hasn't just let him go off and wander. All coming together now...
