Fucking ace to have the skipper back at long, long last.

Welcome back Stevie.
Has Steven Gerrard scored a goal even more important than the one he got against Olympiakos - Is this the start of something BIG?

Good to see him charging forward at points too, really shows that he is injury free. All he needs is match fitness.

Brilliant to have him back. We looked a lot better after he came on.

Agree with this, can't wait to see him back in the prem.

Did anyone catch what was on his under armor to the left of his stomach?

How did he do?

I missed the second half except for literally the last 30 seconds. He looked lean and younger at the end of the match.

He was last seen swinging a rope over a beam after hearing Carra and Gerrard were on the same pitch once again.

He came on and went behind Lucas alongside Spearing. But had the chance to roam pretty freely, fluid formation with the midfield three.
Think the basic principle was a 4231 but with much more movement, which would suit us if we has Lucas and Adam starting and Suarez or Kuyt 'leading the line'.

Has the mean height of our side reduced drastically in our side, cos he looked taller.
I got the Lucas thing wrong. Will be right on Henderson though. Play him RM, play him CM - Not good enough and never will be.

haha thought that too. Then again when you've got midgets like Spearing, Bellamy, Maxi and Kuyt alongside you, your cock would like the eiffel tower.

Brilliant to see him back even though I winced every time he touched the ball. We really do need SG to contribute significantly this season, I'm not sure if everyone really realises that.

Pretty much sure there has to be a designated captain on the pitch, as this is who the ref will speak to when things get out of hand and the captain is meant to be the only one allowed to question decisions by the ref, to stop the crowding of refs.
