It's fantastic but also heartbreaking.  Such a horrible thing to have happened to the man and I'm glad the club can make sure he knows we're all behind him.
Really is, credit to all the players especially Hendo there, really showed they’re a good, decent, caring bunch.

As anyone done the Tottenham comparison yet?

Are they even close to being the same?

^ Yes the one and only rossipersempre with a special guest appearance :D

Go on then Yorky, I’ll complete the set.
Main Stand, almost the identical view of the footage. ...
Like everyone else who’s seen both, yes it’s the same goal, uncanny. Ok, maybe just pure nostalgia that says Heighway’s lung-busting run (vaguely recall he started out of the blocks unsighted from the touchline/penalty area which explains why he looks too knackered to celebrate) has the slight edge given the one-touch no-look audacity. And yes, ok, maybe Terry Mac seemed to suspend unnaturally in the air, the magnetic attraction pulling the ball onto his curly mop. But my god, the Trent/Robbo/Mo version will be talked about for another 40 years. If anything, the move seems calmer, swifter, more measured, practiced even. But likewise ruthlessly executed, ripping them apart.

And much more important psychologically to morale than the 7th against an already-humiliated Spurs, as it put City’s notions of a recovery to bed, a lethal EM shock to that plastic pale blue plasma-pumping medical device masquerading as a heart. The third was simply inevitable.

Klopp interview at Melwood

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPHXEjiP1wU&list=WL&index=102&t=0s

that's a really nice interview. I have no clue who Chunkz is, other than he's some youtube 'star'?! And an Arsenal fan!

But it's actually refreshing to see Kloppo interviewed like that, and be allowed to talk, and be so natural. Very different to that interview he did with Phil Thompson the other day for example, where Thompson basically spoke over him the whole time.

So fair play Chunkz, whoever you are  ;D

Yeah was really good that. Just shows the value in having an interviewer who actually listens intently to the responses they're given. Be friendly and open and you're able to have a nice conversation without needing to prepare the worlds most incisive questions

That Barcelona documentary series - 'Matchday' - narrated by John Malkovich is available to watch for free; them vs us in the CL last season is 'Episode 7'. You just  got to register, apparently:-

They’ve done this concept in NFL and NBA (I believe) adverts in the states several times - people loved it.

Hillsborough: the 30-year fight for justice – Football Weekly special

In the latest pod, we spoke about this episode of the Guardian’s Today in Focus podcast that looked at the Hillsborough disaster, in which 96 Liverpool fans lost their lives. In light of the recent not guilty verdict delivered to David Duckenfield, David Conn speaks to Rachel Humphreys about the pursuit of justice by the families of the bereaved

That Barcelona documentary series - 'Matchday' - narrated by John Malkovich is available to watch for free; them vs us in the CL last season is 'Episode 7'. You just  got to register, apparently:-

:wave

Just watched this. It makes perfect sense now that they lost the Copa del Rey final. They never stood a chance if it took Messi and Piquet EIGHTEEN DAYS ( :o) to face the press and talk about the Liverpool defeat. After all that time they still hadn't put it behind them, even with a final to look forward to, they were the Walking Wounded.

But what strikes me most is how much of a wet fish Valverde is during half time talks where they are losing (1-0 to Liverpool and 2-0 to Valencia). It's almost like he's lost all heart but trying to put on a brave face but it's extremely unconvincing and wishy-washy.

Oh, and the soundtrack as the buses arrive at Anfield reminds me of that section of the Night King soundtrack in the final seasons of GOT, when the mist and cold sets in just before the Army of the Dead show up. Chilling stuff. Directors might have gone a bit over the top there.

Coutinho looks like he's about to cry at several points throughout this. So sad.
