Aside from Aguero, Lewandowski is the best centre forward in the World. His goalscoring record is absolutely phenomenal

Just incredible.

That's nothing, I just score 1 in 45 mins at 5 a side tonight.

Oh yeah, well I got a shot on target at training last night.

Unbelievable from Lewandowski! Never seen something like that in football in top leagues.

He is a martial arts expert as well. And, a pure finisher. Kind of like Van Nistelrooy with more pace.

Intriguing line-up for Dortmund - looks like Bender is at CB. No Ginter. Reus, who's been poor lately, is on the bench. Alaba could already have been sent off for a foul on Aubameyang - ref awarded a yellow.

How did no one sign Costa till now? What a bloody player.

Watching the match with a German commentator. He had some pretty interesting stuff to say about Reus. "Makes a lot of wrong decisions in big matches".

Lol, I wonder what he'd say about us.

Ilkay is a lovely player. Some really good stuff on my stream.

They're saying Tuchel's brand of football is more refined but because of Bayern's financial dominance it is just a cheaper version of Munich's brand.

Klopp's team were more aggressive and not as refined but it bridged the gap in quality and Munich hated playing them.

Difference in quality obviously.

Of course Bayern are better, but it is also the mentality going into the game. Everybody expects them to win anyway so why fight?
And its been like that for a long time, even at times where the difference in quality wasn't that big

Aye, I see posters regularly Klopp's achievements with BVB down, saying look at their form now with Tuchel...He's a more complete manager etc.

Klopp won trophies and got to cup finals regularly....until Tuchel does the same, he shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath no matter how much more "refined" or "multi-dimensional" his football may be.

Madrid also absolutely hated playing Dortmund. Even in the season they won the CL, an injury-ravaged Dortmund gave Madrid much more problems than Bayern, and if I recall correctly, should have advanced had Mkhitaryan not missed sitter after sitter at Westfalen.

I didn't say any English team could. But "smaller" English teams were always able to nick point from teams fighting for the top 4.
And in the BL it always seemed like, teams aren't trying so hard against Bayern.

Bayern have had games this season when they have needed a last minute goal to win...Its unfair to say that teams dont try. Teams are just nowhere near as good as them.

Put Bayern in the any league and the same things would be happening.

Deloitte values Bayern at three times their nearest German rival. Their commercial income is more than double their nearest Bundesliga rival. Their match-day revenue is greater than any other German club. And they're coached brilliantly and tend to be savvy in their player recruitment. Surely the mystery is how other sides manage to win the Bundesliga at all?

You still get teams resting their best players when playing them in the middle of the season. And it's not necessarily teams playing in Europe and having 3 games in 10 days. It's teams close to the bottom of the table who have almost always a week off between games... Bayern are just a different class and in my view too many teams in the Bundesliga give them too much respect. It's a bit like when Ferguson was still managing Manchester United. Too many teams just rolled over right at the beginning of the game.

That's exactly what I mean..
I also am annoyed by the mentality of the teams, which may be able to compete with Bayern. Almost every of them say before start of the season, that Bayern are going to win the league. They are just competing to reach places which directly qualify them for the champions league, which is kind of frustrating..

Seems fitting that the two other sides Klopp has managed, Mainz and Dortmund, meet tonight, just before he makes his bow with us. I'll be raising a bottle of doppelbock to toast in the new era.
