Going to the last 10 conveniently gives you a 'safe big picture'

City have won 4 out of their last 5 games, including LFC and Arsenal, playing poorly in 1 game.

LFC have won 2 of their last 5 games, playing poorly in every game.

Thats what people are judging it on.

So you don't like people using ten games, because it conveniently fits their agenda...

...and you then conveniently use five games as that fits your agenda.

;)

It is interesting to see how our title challenges have been affected down the years;

96/97; David James and the lack of a defence. Roy Evans not being authoritative enough with the squad
01/02; Houllier's health issues. Coming up against Arsenal's greatest ever side
08/09; Hicks and Gillette toxicity. Not having back up to Gerrard and Torres. Coming up against one of United's greatest ever sides
13/14; Shakey defence. Rodgers not having enough experience. Having a squad of 13 players
18/19; Loaning out Nathaniel Clyne

Spot on.

And if they do choose to waste their time fishing in those cesspools, then don't post random ramblings on here about what is on rival fan sites, what their mates/colleagues/Sky/or someone on Twitter has said, or how we're 'bottlers', or how we going to lose the title because, well, you know - 2013/14, 2008/9, Dubai, or because we loaned out Clyne.

Focus on our incredible achievement so far, supporting the players, and trusting the manager.

We're in a fantastic position for a final push in the coming months.

Definitely! When you constantly fish in a cesspit, you are always going to hook a turd.

I avoid the lot of them. If I watch on telly I turn on for YNWA then off again at the final whistle. I don't do social media and barely read the sports press, including our own. I'm all the more sane for it in the long run.

We really shouldn't get sidetracked by all the diversionary bollocks out there.

Come on Liverpool. Fuck the rest, and their media.

Superb, you've summed up how I feel. All that stuff is shite and if people give it any credibility it says more about them.
Top reply SoS too. Totally agree. Love the fishing analogy  :shite: :shite: :shite:
I don't do social media and try to ignore some of the shite on here, I'd like to be on here less, but there's a core of decent posters fighting the good fight.
I've had the odd bit of criticism before about lack of patience with some "opinions", but people posting about Dubai, Clyne, Klopp should've, Klopp shouldn't have etc. add nothing for me. People will say it's an opinion and their entitled to it, but for me it's worthless because it's a reaction to something that's based on incomplete information.

A more constructive approach would be to explore/debate the reasons behind the decision (Clyne) rather than assuming that the people making the decision are incompetent buffoons.

Yes glory hunters - people who only enjoy when things are going well? As they are now? Not sure what's confusing about that.

They'll be back not giving a shit if we don't win the league this season.
We actually got a lot of hangers on after Istanbul.

And a lot of fans overseas who sound like glory hunters without much historical connection to our club.
Tell tale sign is that they don't mention 'the league' - instead they call it the EPL or BPL....????

It has nothing to do with Dubai. They were there for 3 days and 7 days at Melwood.

It's more to do with injuries and illnesses.

Paul Tomkins hinted or one his writers (through a trusted source) that there were more players struck down with illness than the club were letting on.

The chatter from Everton fans wanting to lose is laughable.

Do they not realise that if they win tonight it doesnt mean we win the title? Just like if they lose it doesn't mean City wim the title?

Reminds me of being in the pub in 2010 seeing Liverpool fans celebrating Drogbas goal against us. Couldnt believe what I was seeing.

He was also very solid when he played against the mancs. I believe it was his decision to go though - I think arrogance stopped Klopp from going in for a RB/CB in Jan.

Which RB and CB would that be then?

Which £50-75 million Centre-back was hanging around uninvolved in a title challenge and would be up to speed with Liverpool's tactical shape and will be happy to step back to third/fourth place once Gomez and Lovren are back?

Same for the right back that Klopp was too arrogant to sign...

Same for a right back.

Seen this in a few places now. If you were required to play through illness you defintely wouldn't let on or those would be the players you'd target. VVD against leicester didn't look anything like himself, for what it's worth.

Surely the people complaining about loaning Clyne are joking right?  A 3rd choice right back that hasn't played in barely two years.

Next it will be people counting on the Ox coming back as likely to change anything.

Some advice from past experience: don’t watch the everton city game. The 2014 one was one of the most bizarre matches I’ve ever seen. Was like a pre season atmosphere. I’m half expecting that evertonian in his speedos to score for city if needed. Save yourself the hassle and watch a film, read a book or go the gym

Fuck all this talk of a favour from Everton as well. We don't need their help.

Let City have a few days top of the league. That'll be nice for them.

Smash Bournemouth, then they've got to beat Chelsea, which'll be harder.

Even if they do that, then we get to go and piss on Utd at Old Trafford to go back top. That's gonna be great fun.

An equaliser for Everton would be nice. Anyway we are challenging for the title and that’s exactly what we all want. The experience alone helps the players to deal with the pressure. There will be a few twists and turns along the way and so strap yourself in.

Ah well. Everton did ok but hardly created anything. City wasted time and milked everything until they scored the 2nd. Commentator was a dick "City find a way to win as they always do"........sorry they have won less games than we have and were holding on right till the end.

Now we know there are no more chances and we need to stop dropping needless points.

We need to up our game and grind out win after win.
