Any advice on what to do with my calendar on my Desire.

I have a few dates noted down, my day off work, few events etc which stand out (using the month view) so I can look at them and know such a thing is in x amount of days without having to click on that specific date. But now for some reason every single contact from Facebook is now synced with all the birthdays listed. Basically means every single day now looks as though it has an event, when really I couldn't give a shit if it's their birthday. I can already see that when I log on FB each day.

Probably something simple, but thought I would ask.

Go to calendar, press the menu button and go to more. Select calendars and untick Facebook at the bottom. Job done.

Since the latest update of Android I've had problems with lagging, Angry Birds crashing and my ringtone (YNWA of course) changes to the standard at any random time. I have the AVG Virus protection installed on the phone and it tells me that my phone (HTC Legend) is very clean. Any of you had similar experiences? I updated on saturday/sunday...

I've just ordered the Silver HTC Wildfire off of Amazon for 200 quid. It'll be replacing the Sony Ericsson Satio I've been using on my contract. Am on holiday at the moment so I've got something to look forward to when I return in January!  ;D

Why pay £60 more for the silver phone? I paid £140 for the Wildfire for my missus.....

Came to this thread a bit late, but from what I've read, the real relationship trouble is not between you and your girl, but between you and a small box of Tampax. You obviously need something more substantial in your life like a huge Costco sized box of jam rags, seeing as you're such a massive fucking quim

If you've never had an iphone or desire you'll find it decent. If you've ever had either then you'll be disappointed.

Missus has one and loves it. Doesn't quite match up to my Desire but at £140 compared to £400 you wouldn't expect it to either....

Been having a little look around the net about wifi tether app, there seems to be a few out there, some paid some free.

Are they any good? if so which is the best

Do they work on all android phones? Samsung Galaxy S

Are they easy to set up and use? was thinking about this for my daughter, for when she is away from home at the weekends, she has got unlimited internet on her phone but i dont want to pay out even more for a dongle for her laptop just for the odd weekends.

Any help appreciated.

Which version of Android are you running? I think Froyo (2.2) and above allow native tethering without needing a third party app.

If she is on 2.1 is it just a normal update straight to 2.2?

i have just updated the mrs galaxy {practice on hers before the daughters} the mrs one was on 2.2 and it updated to 2.21

went onto the tethering app, switched it on, dissconected my normal internet and tried to connect my laptop through her phone.

The laptop is seeing the connection as Android, and i have tried to connect with both security {wep} on and off.

it tries, but after about 15 seconds i just get the blank cant connect page.

any sugestions?

No because it's connecting to the Internet via your wireless router.

If you are connected to your own WiFi at home or work then it will not use your data allowance at all.

The data limits are for 3G / HSDPA.
