No losers in this whole draft in my opinion. Been impossible to pick in most votes. But I have, for shame.

two good selections, props to the contributers

i think the selection of scum, warriors and mad max in one collective was the deciding factor and i voted the other way (tho The Muppets was almost a deal breaker  ;D) - both full of wonderful classics tho

80 years of international cinema to choose from and the finalists both went for Bruce Lee films. I voted for Chakan though.

I did say it was one of my week points in early cinema.  Nothing wrong with a good Bruce lee movie though :)

Ty for the vote

there's no reason to be an apologist for Bruce Lee's appearance

cinema is many things and you can certainly view a movie from many perspectives and its relevance to where/how does this feature in the last 80 years of cinema

Bruce Lee had a phenomenal impact on western culture in movies (which remains to this day) and beyond (and with many 'stars', even those we consider great, it's questional if they really had an impact on western culture beyond the movies)

his relevance regarding influencing cinema in the western world is huge

maybe the fact he made both lists in this final thing you do speaks to that?

could there have been other international films instead (Metropolis or M would've tempted me)? sure, but then Clint turns up on both lists (and rightly so imo  ;D)

Congratulations Chaks! The Pre-80s Movie Draft winner.

Congrats to Pete on reaching the final on his first draft, with a great lineup of movies. Well played mate.

Great draft everyone, thanks for participating and for mostly (thanks Andy :D) making me work very little. See you all at the next one.

That’s what swung it my way too. Must remind you of trying to make it back to Hebden Bridge from a night out in the ‘Fax mate?

Congrats Chaka!
