Yeah, they’ll probably drop it after they release the next console, unless they find a way to amalgamate it I suppose.

In any case it wouldn’t stop me from subscribing, I’m definitely getting it, looks great.

With the Switch being a huge success I would imagine they do a Switch 2 that has some sort of backwards compatabilities, as opposed to something like the Wii-U which threw everything up in the air.

They should offer a downloadable service though for their online games. For example if I play Zelda OOT I can only play when I have WiFi which is fine at home but if I was travelling anywhere I couldn't play the game.

It’s expensive but I can live with it, what’s annoying is the fact that you can’t pay it monthly, seems to have to be an upfront cost.

I am 100% buying a Switch now, just for the N64 online initially. I’ll probably get the other essential games too eventually.

If I can play MarioKart 64 multiplayer online I may genuinely never leave the house again.

The Switch is pretty much the same price wherever you go right?

The N64 expansion pass is getting a bit of a slaughtering online. Apparently the games are poorly emulated, OOT being one of the worst.

Yeah, seen a bit of it and it looks poor. It’s just standard Nintendo with their online services though.

No issues with the Sega games, as far as I’ve read.

Bought 'Inside' last night on estore for 1 pound 70. Great little game so far- shit one when the dogs come for you though.

I highly recommend Wildfire (https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-Switch-download-software/Wildfire-1879307.html). It's a fun little indie game and currently on offer.

I bought Limbo as well and enjoying that a lot too.

Banjo Kazooie now on N64 online, very tempted to get the expansion pack. I pay 17 quid for the year so it's around another 17 quid for me to be able to play Banjo and Ocarina of Time. Seems a no brainer!

Kirby: The Last of Us does look rather good actually

Is the online upgrade worth it at the minute? Last time I checked it got a bit of a roasting for poor emulation?

That was a good one that. Caught it this morning. Definite highlights are the new Mario Strikers, Switch Sports, Kirby and Mario Kart DLC

The latter has made the decision for me to upgrade the Online membership. Hopefully the emulation has improved since launch as I'd seen it was very spotty for some games

I loved Mario Strikers on the Wii, the game worked so well with the controls. This one looked a little... joyless? Not sure, just a touch underwhelmed by the trailer. I'm sure it'll be great though, look forward to it.

Kirby looks really good- looks similar to Mario Odyssey in some ways.

Will get that and strikers this year, probably not much else. Hoping more is added to the N64 collection.

nintendo have really won me over with two demos this week. I hadn't a clue about kirby tried demo on whim and thought it was awesome . googled reviews of older games and they were pretty average . i said maybe they put the best of the game in the demo but obviously not by the reviews ! this game wasn't on my radar but i will probably buy it now . also triangle strategy demo has me totally sucked in too !

How fucked is it?

Think the only way of extracting save data is via data management, either by transferring it directly to another console or using the cloud function.

I've got a Switch Lite and my left Joystick isn't tracking right properly, it's jerky and inconsistent which is obviously a pain when you're playing almost any game. My warranty is up in a couple of weeks so in some ways it's good timing but I've no idea if they'll agree that the issue is covered (it hasn't been dropped or damaged in any way). Fingers crossed.

Proper fucked

Won't turn on. I replaced the charging port as it was clear that was fucked, but still won't turn on. Not going to mess about buying more replacement parts when I don't know what the problem is and Nintendo can get fucked if they think I'm paying their repair costs so just going to buy a new one.

A pretty common problem with the standard Switch. I remember having to basically drive round half the country trying to get on for my lad when it was first released as his went tits up after a couple of weeks. Even replaced the joy cons with replacements it was still fucked so ended up just replacing the whole console.

Bought a switch 2 days ago loving it so far.

My 10 year old dragged the Wii U out and had been playing Mario 3D world all weekend, it’s a nice break from Fortnite.

So picked up a switch with Mario Odyssey, Luigi’s Mansion and Yoshi’s Crafted World. I bought myself Stardew Valley too as I love it on the ps4 and playing it in handheld will be nice.
