Definitely think all the dragons will die.
I don't think they all will but I can definitely see one going. Probably the biggest one, Drogon is it called?

As soon as I saw that scene in the trailer where Jamie's charging on horseback I had a feeling he might be about to kill one of the dragons. How exactly he'll manage it I'm not sure, maybe with wildfire or maybe with the aid of Euron's present, whatever that turns out to be.

Or you know, he doesn't.

So, if the walkers could get into the cave once Bran was touched, does that mean they can now cross the wall as Bran has?

That looks like it's the season, rather than episode 2.

So if Jon allies with Dany, and the Martells ally with the Iron Islands, can't see beyond them for victory.

I think that only applied as the cave was protected by 3ER and the Children. I think they'd some kind of magic protecting them from anything entering.

What about Edmure? I hope someone lets him out.

Probably at Casterly Rock. I think Jaime said to him that he'd send him and his family there and eventually, at some point in the future, they'd get given their own home and land.

Arya literally killed every Frey and still didn't let him out. It's like she forgot she had an uncle locked up there.

Wasn't he taken to Riverrun as a ploy to get the Blackfish to surrender? He's probably there under the guard of Lannister men.

Just got me thinking - can the White Walkers reanimate dragons?

Would be a great twist if one of the dragons killed off Dany.

First thought that Theon would end up sending the message anyway, but then of course who is there to send it to? He's just left the Dornish regent to be raped in captivity for weeks. Where on earth can he either go, or be washed up?

That's Dany's army to attack King's Landing with delayed for a bit. Maybe Theon will drift past Gendry's boat.

Looked like straight up PTSD to me, that last shot of him in the water may as well have been him curled up in a corner somewhere in the foetal position. I don't think there was any element of a calculated decision to flee.

Cersei does look much stronger now although I expect Daenerys to proceed with her attack on Casterly Rock which I can see going much better for her. There is the question of what happens to the Dornish army now that Ellaria is Cersei's prisoner.

I suspect you're right. Difficult to see where Theon goes from here.

There were hints of Dany turning somewhat aggressive this episode. Tyrion and Varys supplied the voices of reasoned tactics but you can tell she's tempted by Olenna's more anarchic approach. I'm guessing she might be heading even more that way after losing some of her army.

Battle of the Minor Characters You're Completely Indifferent To (Oh and Theon)

Pretty good episode all in all. Enjoyed the Arya stuff and even though I didn't give a shit about anyone in that final scene I got on board a bit when Euron started butchering sandsnakes.  ;D

Doesn't stop me thinking he's just another boring cartoon villain who ridiculously gets 100s of monstrous ships built in a matter of months/weeks.

A generally decent episode, with the exception of the Missandei/Grey Worm stuff, we've got 7 eps this season and still waste our time on this shit, almost fast forwarded!

A good ep for team Lannister anyway, if the Dornish are pretty much out of the game and the Tyrell's may largely now be onside then the balance of power has shifted considerably.

I'm sure Littlefinger will be trying to get in Sansa's ear as much as possible in Jon's absence.

I think a lot of you are under-rating this episode, I thought it was fantastic.
Arya, good. Samwell/Jorah, good. Euron, awesome. Dany's Gang, great. Our Friends in the North, great.

Packed a lot in, and was very very enjoyable.

Haven't yet seen 'tonight's' episode yet, and am just catching up with this thread, so forgive me if I'm relating to old stuff.

Re: the Sheeran thing, I'd not read much pre-series stuff and didn't know he was going to be in the series, never mind that episode. When the scene happened I thought "Ha! Doesn't he look like Ed Sheeran" and thought nothing more about it.

Could what Euron said he would get be that dragonbinder horn thing mentioned in the books?   [this might have been blown out the water by now after last night's episode]

A Tory, a worker and an immigrant are sat round a table. There's a plate of 10 biscuits in the middle. The Tory takes 9 then turns to the worker and says "that immigrant is trying to steal your biscuit"

That was an absolutely perfect episode

Spoiler
Even if that battle sequence didn't happen at the end I still would have rated this very highly when it comes to favourite episodes, the pacing was spot on and there were some really brilliant and touching scenes.

Arya and Nymeria reunited. I've been waiting to see this for years. I didn't pick up on it myself at the time but the "That's not you" line was a throwback to Arya saying "That's not me" in reply to Ned in season 1, when he said she'd grow up to be a lady of a house. And hot pie!!! Their interaction really showcased how different Arya is now compared to season 3, and it was a really touching scene when she found out about Jon.

The verbal sparring between Varys and Dany was definitely needed, and probably should have happened last season really, but at least it has finally arrived. I can't stand Daenerys and ultimately don't want her to end the show on the Throne, but I do like most of her council. Also interesting to see Melisandre show up there so quickly, be interesting to see how Davos handles that next week considering he told her he'd kill her if he ever saw her again.

And then the battle. I didn't expect it to happen so soon. I thought Euron's "gift" would be (an attempt at getting) Tyrion. But it makes perfect sense that the gift is Ellaria, the woman who killed Cersei's daughter. They also captured Ellaria's daughter so I expect next week will include some pretty gruesome shit. So glad that Theon jumped overboard, he's been through so much development that it would be a shame to see him die now fighting for Daenerys. He's a Northerner at heart, he should go back and play his part there, perhaps with the Brotherhood.

Not sure the point in keeping Yara alive at this point. Ellaria and Tyene are a gift for Cersei, but she won't care about Yara. If Euron's just going to kill her next week then why not just do it on the boat to add an extra body to the mix? Must be something I'm not seeing left for her to do in the story...

Spoiler
I think it's a genuinely heartening sign that a substantial number of men watched a scene of a nude, astonishingly good-looking woman and thought "Jesus, this is a bit much."

if the first episode was slow and boring, this made up for it.
Good stuff
