Gonna be selling an old internal cd rewriter, dvd player, floppy drive.. If anyone wants details, PM me. They're perfect for building a basic PC. Haven't been used in about 5 years, but they should be in perfect working order.

Fuming because I sold two items which somebody from Kirkby bid and won. Yet that was on Thursday last week and the cheeky bastards havent coughed up or answered my email.  :no
I have informed Ebay but god knows what they will do!

Thinking of selling off my sweaters which are a size too small. Any recommendations as to how I should go about with it? First time I'm going to be selling stuff on eBay.

lol...

its easy peasy using ebay really, just be sure to check the fee that accumulates at the bottom of the page, then edit your application if its costing you much.
for a few tshirts, you could probably get away with it for free. so dont have a reserve price, or a buy now, only use one picture, and keep the starting price under a quid i believe. Its not really a good idea to make money off postage, gives a bad rep, but calculate how much the postage will cost (royal mail website for that) and factor in the cost of buying an envelope and so on, maybe add a quid onto the price for that and you should have the postage fee about right. make a small profit on the fee if you can, but the idea is to cover your costs comfortably with a penny or 3 to spare. just dont be greedy here.

target your bid to end late evening, so people have a chance to finish work and have some grub, and give it 10days for the countdown.

I used to sell loads but eBay fees and paypal fees just got to be too much.

I agree entirely. Also, there is absolutely no protection for sellers against the total wankers who bid and then say they don't want the item when they win.

Mate, you would be lucky to have that happen to you. The more common situation is them receiving the item, then claiming they don't and getting their money back.
You are left with nothing, they are left with their money and the item. Way too common these days and shipping with tracking can be too expensive at times
I know. Up to now I've only come across the twats that say they don't want the item. Luckily never hit people who "never received" the item.
Shipping is a real problem

Ive got one of those pending in my queue right now. :(

but ebay, arghhhhh...
wait till you hear  this, but you probably have similar stories of your own.

I listed a "Nintendo DS lite, usb Wifi dongle, 10 games, internet browser, memory card and R4 card"
- this was cancelled by ebay as i broke their policy of listing equipment that can lead to copying of software. far enough

so, i listed my Nintendo DS again with all the stuff included, with the exception of the R4 card.
- they cancelled it again citing the same reason, but everything listed was official Nintendo products.
- I emailed them via the contact form a few days ago and haven't received any reply.
- I wish ebay would pause/suspend a listing and contact the seller requesting they change or cancel, or ebay themselves can cancel in a few days. but atleast you get notice, and have an opportunity to correct/dispute what could be wrong.
- I had 6 bids after just 2 hours, was up to 8 bids when the cancelled and 4-5 people watching in their queue. even if i do get the product reinstated ive lost these bids and buyers.
- now im unsure to list it again, as im afraid it will be cancelled again, and its becoming a pain in the ass.
- ill have to ring their call centre later today, no doubt paying a hefty fee on my phone for it, to get them to explain them selves and relist my sale.

its bad as i was SOLD a dodgy Xbox 360. It was stated in the article as FULLY WORKING. I got it and it had the RROD. I contacted and put in a case and they found in favour of the seller. So i was NO xbox and £80 down the pan

Ive sold the same (with r4 card) and a modded psp
each got taken down like 6 times but I kept listing it and eventually people bought with the buy it now ;D

just keep listing with a buy it now option and itll eventually work

but that regular ds bundle should have worked. try relisting that a tleast
I might relist again with a buy now, but to determine how much i should get for that is another mystery :)
i was hoping for atleast 150, but its worth a lot more.

last relist was all legit Nintendo anyway, stupid Ebay gremlins

The old "My stock got stolen" excuse. Fuck me, if I had a load of Iphones I wouldn't store them in a lock up. Ask him for the crime number and then check it out with his local police.

Came to this thread a bit late, but from what I've read, the real relationship trouble is not between you and your girl, but between you and a small box of Tampax. You obviously need something more substantial in your life like a huge Costco sized box of jam rags, seeing as you're such a massive fucking quim

Good idea,

with paypal as far as i understand if you pay for a product as goods, or an ebay purchase, then you can be refunded if the value is above £200

I ordered Dexter (Seasons 1 + 2), and the complete series of Firefly, on DVD, all off the same seller, he has pretty much 100% reputation, around 700 people, including 75 in the last month.

However, I got three emails, saying the items I bought had been taken down (he sold in bulk, so like 10+ available), and I should contact him. At the same time, he's emailed me to say he's shipped the items. Firefly has been around 7 days now, and nothing?

The seller is now selling nothing at all, when previously he was selling 70+ items a month? Maybe just shutting shop now, and sending the items he has sold?

Should I be concerned?
