can't download that linked file but how's about these:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/6eU8ZKkckxg&amp;hl=en_GB&amp;fs=1&amp;" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/6eU8ZKkckxg&amp;hl=en_GB&amp;fs=1&amp;</a>

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/20H7AtPRuXg&amp;hl=en_GB&amp;fs=1&amp;" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/20H7AtPRuXg&amp;hl=en_GB&amp;fs=1&amp;</a>

Funny you should mention those two, as although the music's similarly chilled, their approaches to performing it are completely seperate - I've been backstage with the guys from FourTet and safe to say they were probably more wired than I've ever seen anybody, ever... whereas with Aim the night was spend with a crate or two of Coronas and a few joints.

Two completely different performances, two very, very good nights.
I don't have to sell my soul... he's already in me.

Try Alamo Race Track.  Fills both criteria.  The new album has some really chilled out tunes and vibes.

Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

The White Room came out when lemonjelly were just an itch in a producer's scrotum ;)

Mind you, the KLF aren't the granddaddies of ambient music, as this thread has shown!

One of the classic ambient dance tracks.

I'll tell you one thing for sure... I wouldn't trust no words written down on no piece of paper, especially from no Dickenson out in the town of Machine.

My current fave, and good friends too, Carbon Based Lifeforms, have just released a new album called "23" (I asked if it was in honour of Carra - they said, "Who?" I'll take that as a no then!).

Is this similar to lemon jelly? Love having a smoke to abit of that. Can't find a decent torrent to give it a listen though :butt If you know any PM me.

EDIT: Found some on spotify. Going to give it a try now.

Not really similiar to Lemon Jelly IMO. Chill Out is not really song based as such, just meandering melodies drifting in and out. "Magrunda Eterna" from that album is just pure bliss. Just read "45" by Bill Drummond as well. Odd man.

Love Xela's stuff?

John Twells(Xela) recorded 'For Frost Mornings and Summer Nights' while working at his local Halfords. Can certainly hear the heavyweights of early nineties electronic music although this record stands especially tall. Its packed with grace, beauty and melancholy.

His later stuff is also genius but different, still beautiful but darker, a lot darker.

I've been enjoying these albums for the past few days.

"Andrei Machado is an artist from Brasília, Brazil, who creates beautiful ambient music. Étant is his second full-length album, after his debut "Lacuna". The beautiful touches of piano create an amazing atmosphere, which reminds me artists like Eluvium and Ólafur Arnalds. Excellent albums, available for free download."

Tycho's new album Dive probably comes under this banner - for an instrumental album it's packed full of emotion, and well worth seeking out in all it's nostalgic lushness.
