There are some players in this world, who may not be as popular as the players like Pele, Maradona, Zidane, Cryuff, Messi, Ronaldo, Ronaldo, etc.. These players are world reknown. But there are few players in this world who would be held in high regard and ranked among the very best like Riquelme, Pirlo, Seedorf, Del Piero, Xavi, Ballack, Gerrard, Scholes, etc..

The popular players, we can see the highlights and admire them, but these kind of players can only be judged when you see the whole match.

Sorry excuse my ignorance here I see Boca lost in the final in what is the South American champions league . Didn't they get relegated last year.

Or have they since been promoted & qualified for the Copa Lib

It was River who got relegated last year, they got promoted at the first time try though.

Diego Forlan signed with Inter of Porto Alegre today. Best of luck to him, hope he gets back to action soon.

"I look at him doing all sorts of crazy shit and mostly I burst out laughing at his insane genius.

River Plate vs Boca Juniors in the 2nd leg of the Semi-Final of the Copa Sudamericana tonight - 11.45pm kick off live on Premier Sports and the usual online places.

The 1st leg finished 0-0. There are no 'away goals' rule in this comp - if the scores are level after 90 minutes then it's onto 30 minutes of Extra Time and good old penalties.

Should be a cracker of a game.

The winner will meet Atlético Nacional of Colombia in the Final on Wednesday 3rd December.

Cracking atmosphere for a ground with a running track around the pitch. Plenty of pyro - plenty of party :)

Bookies have River Plater to win at evens, the draw 15/8 and Boca at 3/1 to win.

Had enough pace, chose to go right, but to close to the keeper and nowhere near the corner.

Superbly finished goal from River - Piscaliichi with a great low drive from 15 yards out into the far corner after a low cross evades the Boca defenders. Keeper had no chance.

Think the commentator said gk Rogero Ceni was the only Sao Paulo player to score in the penalty shootout for Sao Paulo vs Nacional last night - bloody hell he must be 45 years old by now, bagged over 100 goals and still scoring :)

Boca just had a goal ruled out incorrectly for offside. 30mins in and still a cracking atmosphere - either side look like they could score at any time.

Gago for Boca off injured on 40mins - looked a bad challenge on him. Amazing no-one has been sent off yet.

Boca with a header just wide of the goal

Should have been a red for that tackle on Gago, tackle from behind with a sweeping leg.

Should have been a red for that tackle on Gago, tackle from behind with a sweeping leg.

And he made sure he got him on the follow-though too with the momentum of his body.

Loved the first thing the the sub did was get booked for taking out his opposite number.

1-0 to River at H-T. Great game.

Had a look up at Rogerio Ceni the goalscoring goalie - only played for Sau Paulo club-wise, 22 seasons, 1145 games, 121 goals - not including those scored in penalty shootouts! Think this is his last season which he'll be 42 when it finishes.

In 2005 he bagged 21 goals in 77 games - a few forwards would be jealous of those stats. Has bagged 10 goals already this season.

4 yellows each side by 60-odd mins - could've been more too. Still don't think it'll end with 22 players on the pitch.
