All the badge kissing in the world don't make up for the fact that they are, frankly, not Liverpool Football Club. It's not their fault. Its just how it is.

Liverpool stalwart Kenny Dalglish cemented his status as a demigod amongst the Anfield faithful with this piece of magic.

After scoring the only goal to beat an overtly negative Bruges side 1-0 in 1978, Dalglish sprints of to celebrate and clears the barrier.

After celebrating with the Liverpool fans at Wembley Dalglish returns to his team-mates...

... who immediately swamp him!

With the full-time whistle blown Liverpool became the first British side to retain the European Cup.

Kenny Dalglish carries the cup...

... home to the jubilant city of Liverpool cementing the teams dominance in european football.

Superb pics. What a goal and celebration by the King.

Dear all,

I have been looking for match action pictures of the Steve Nicol Testimonial match played on 10 October 1993. I have surfed through googles / gettyimages / viewimage etc. sites and can locate no pictures at all! The only single picture I found is the match program:

Can anybody offer me some help if they have one or two match action pictures? Many thanks in advance.  :wave

Trying to get rid of some paperwork came across the following photo's (which I will keep of course) but thought some of you younger fans might want to show these to your Fathers or Grandfathers.
Should spark some stories from their memory archives.

There was a magazine with The Times last week, with article after article about Liverpool life, culture and football etc. There was a great copy of the (small) Shankly pic at the start this topic.

Fantastic thread with some fantastic photos, many bringing back great memories others giving me new information or insights. Thanks to all the posters.

One request, if I may...could the posters go back and edit their posts with information as to what/when/where etc. the photos are of?

I am 49 years old and even I am unsure what some of the older photos are about...I am certain that they are completely meaningless to younger viewers.

Thanks again.
Left England 1990...still on our perch...I think I'd better come back because it's all gone haywire since!
