You are joking the Portugal fans despise Jota, constantly slagging him off and blame him for Portugal failing to qualify. They are full of Ronaldo fanboys.
Prolly because he's one of these kids today who don't pass to Ronaldo when in front of goal, but instead has the temerity to take their chances. Ronaldo has a knack for causing division. And when he's visibly frustrated, his hordes are quick to jump to his defense.

It is pretty mad how good he is in the air.

Yep. Proof that you don't have to be a giant in order to be boss in the air. I remember Cannavaro being relatively small but winning everything in the air.

I don’t think necessarily he’s that good in the air, it’s his intelligence in finding space with his movement and his timing to be in the right place at the right time

Not really!

People were broadly happy with him signing weren’t they? A little under the radar because he wasn’t a name that had been mentioned a lot.

Maybe I'm confusing him with another £40m ish player. It's hard to keep track of who is taking flak these days. ;D

I wouldn't be surprised if we have the top 3 scorers in the league in a couple of weeks. He's currently 2 behind Vardy.

I think there was an element of surprise by people at the fee, which was amplified as the thought was the reason Werner wasn’t signed was because the club couldn’t afford the fee during a pandemic. But when it became public knowledge how the Jota fee was structured - i.e. just 5 mill paid up front, there was realisation that it made perfect sense.

That's not the only thing with Jota that reminds of Fowler.

Was gonna say this. If you squint when watching Jota, it could be Fowler. Just reminds me so much of RObbie's movement, Fowler-esque finishes, good in the air for a smaller guy... so many similarities.

Absolutely in love with that finish from Jota.
I think in about 3 years Jota will be an extraordinary player if he sticks around with Klopp. Right now, he seems to fade in and out of games and comes alive in the box at times, but when playing on the left can really progress the ball well.

Beyond Origi, Jota seems the most No.9 like out of our front 3 options. I know we don't play the No.9 the same way as others and that Jota isn't a traditional No.9 in terms of physicality but I think the more I watch him the more he's a No.9 than a wide forward.
I think Jookie might just be the best fisherman on this thread.

Incredible player, there will be rotation and the occasional game from the left but it's defo his spot now.
