Marseille's Alou Diarra signing for West Ham for 2 million apparently.
I'm really hoping Sturridge busts out the wacky dip when he scores.

Young Tom Ince banged in two for Blackpool and played a blinder it seems. Always thought he was a decent prospect, shame we let him go.

They have Diame who will be first choice all day long - had a brilliant start to the season, and Nolan will play 99% of games. Noble's position is there to be taken, so could find himself in there but they lack creativity in the middle of the pitch. Benayoun could have been a brilliant option in there behind Carroll, but they will use Nolan in there I reckon.

Djimi Traoré without a club after leaving Olympique Marseille in summer according to Wikipedia  :(
There was a two-minute interlude where Liverpool’s three-man attack squared up against United’s three-man defence and basically stalked them back into their own penalty area, like battle-hardened mountain wolves closing in on a flock of geriatric sheep.  Barney Ronay at Anfield @barneyronay Sun 19 Jan 2020 20.36 GMT

From the Echo:  http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-fc/liverpool-fc-news/2012/10/30/former-liverpool-fc-youth-player-adam-hammill-charged-with-assaulting-a-paramedic-100252-32131959/

A FORMER Liverpool FC youth player was charged with assault following an incident in the city centre.

Adam Hammill, 24, of Hall Road East, Bootle, was arrested earlier this month after allegations a paramedic was assaulted outside the Revolution bar in Temple Court in the early hours of Sunday, October 7.

The footballer, who is currently on loan to Championship team Huddersfield Town from Wolverhampton Wanderers, was initially bailed after questioning but yesterday police confirmed they had charged the winger with two counts of assault in relation to the incident.

After being charged last Thursday he was bailed and is due to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Monday, November 12.

Earlier this month a spokesman for the North West Ambulance Service confirmed a member of one of their crews was “assaulted” after being called to the bar at around 3.40am.

He said: “This type of incident is unacceptable.

“We always support our crews in taking further action after incidents like this.”

Hammill, who formed part of LFC’s 2006 FA Youth Cup winning side, started his career at Liverpool’s Youth Academy and played for both the youth and reserve teams.

He had loan spells at Dunfermline, Southampton and Blackpool before being sold to Barnsley in 2009 for a six-figure sum.

He signed for Wanderers in January 2011 and joined Huddersfield on loan in August.

“It's impossible,” said Pride.  “It's risky,” said Experience.  “It's pointless,” said Reason.

Things aren't going so well for Mr. Hammill...  http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-fc/liverpool-fc-news/2012/11/12/former-liverpool-fc-footballer-adam-hammill-pleads-guilty-to-attacking-two-women-paramedics-100252-32217781/

Former Liverpool FC footballer Adam Hammill pleads guilty to attacking two women paramedics
Eleanor Barlow Nov 13 2012

A FORMER Liverpool FC youth player Adam Hammill admitted attacking two women paramedics.

Hammill, 24, of Hall Road East, Bootle, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault when he appeared before Liverpool Magistrates Court yesterday.

The footballer, who is currently on loan to Championship team Huddersfield Town, from Wolverhampton Wanderers, was arrested after the assault outside the Revolution bar in Temple Court in the early hours of the morning on October 7.

Amanda Haycock, prosecuting, said ambulance staff Sky Armstrong and Tracy Northey had been called out to the scene because Hammill was unconscious but when they attempted to put him in a wheelchair he became aggressive.

Miss Haycock said: “He hit out catching Miss Northey on the nose, spat blood at them and tried to bite them.”

She said police officers called to the scene to assist the women heard Hammill verbally abuse them and could smell alcohol on him.

She said: “Despite appearing extremely drunk, he had a very strong grip and was difficult to restrain.

“With the help of colleagues who had arrived to assist he was placed in the rear of the ambulance as he needed medical treatment and officers were trying to dodge Mr Hammill's mouth as he tried to bite those around him.”

She said he was handcuffed and had to be “pinned down” to the bed in the ambulance to be restrained. Miss Northey was described as “shaken, shocked and angered” by what happened.

Hammill was released on bail and the case was adjourned for sentencing until next Tuesday.

A spokesman for Huddersfield Town said: “Adam has already been subject to an internal disciplinary procedure at the club, but we will revisit any possible further action when the legal process has been concluded.”

Hammill, who formed part of LFC’s 2006 FA Youth Cup winning side, started his career at Liverpool’s Youth Academy and played for both the youth and reserve teams during his time at Anfield.

He signed for Wanderers in January last year and was loaned to Huddersfield in August.
“It's impossible,” said Pride.  “It's risky,” said Experience.  “It's pointless,” said Reason.

“Give it a try,” whispered the Heart. - Ken-Obi
