Fuck any negativity off right now! A win only!

Tactics for Saturday:

1. Pass ball to each other and just go straight past those fucking spare parts Dawson and Woodgate. Those two braindead c*nts fuck round like the Chuckle Brothers on crack.

2. Once past them, leather the ball at Gomes from wherever you are. Gomes flapping at a ball looks like a sealion trying to have a wank!

3. Repeat.

Send those tactics to Rafa, now.

I actually think Gomes might have a blinder - he's that sort of keeper, capable of great saves and massive howlers. No doubt the twat will be flawless against us!

I think they'll probably drop Gomes. Don't know who their reserve is, but he's not worse than Gomes.

Gomes was very poor against Arsenal, we may be able to exploit his feeble attempts at punching out crosses.

Put Hyypia in the box to try and contest the headers, if the goalkeeper does come out, leave Gerrard/Alonso on the edge of the box to snap up the ball and rifle it into the net... Well it would work in the theory... :)

Fingers crossed we could be sitting pretty at the top come December, with a greater lead than now.

Agreed, November could be a kind month to us, as you say I can see us extending our lead and qualifying early for the CL knock out stages.

A rejuvenated Spurs will be up for it for sure but I will be very surprised if they beat us, they concede more or less every game and with our defense I can see them getting frustrated.

Same team as Chelsea with Babel and Torres finishing the job.

Very, very nervous about the Spurs game now. They suddenly have a lot of belief and I think they are going to give us a very difficult game.

I can only hope that Rafa plays this fixture with NO regard whatsoever to the Madrid game at Anfield next week. We need to concentrate on the league and put those results - against everyone - absolutely against any other fixture.

My thinking on the spurs game is this: The arsenal result was good for us, not from the point of view of arsenal dropping points, but spurs thinking they'll give us a game just like they did with arsenal. So it will be kind of an ending the honeymoon kinda game, we'll bring them smashing back to earth, and make them realize they'll have to work hard to get out of the bottom three, and coming back against arsenal doesn't guarantee you'll beat your next team just because they have a new manager and increased confidence. As we all know it takes way more than that to win tough games. They (the players) must pay for the complacency shown when Ramos was in charge (and most will agree with me that you can't completely blame him for all the poor results), and that will take some time, so in the long run they will eventually thank us for waking them up!!!

Come on you reds!!

Spurs will be tough on Sat, their fans will be up for it as will the players. They have frailties though and Rafa will hopefully be able to expose them. I predict a draw.

As we won last night I assume all those moaning last night about rotation want us to play the same team we used against Pompey for the Spurs game?....Hmmmm?......Hmmmmm?......

No didn't think so.

Anyway, Spurs back 4 are shit and Gomes isn't just shit, he's thunderously shit....nailed on 0-0.

I think our biggest threat to you will be Modric. He's looking quality now that we're playing him in a free role behind the striker. Really starting to influence games.

Just hope Ledley will be back for us. Makes a huge difference to our back line

I think Rafa will task Mascherano with making sure Modric has a tough afternoon. And if that's the case, the Croatian may well struggle to breathe let alone pick a pass.

Hoping Ledley misses out myself!

Modric beware the Monster is coming.

Will be a tougher game than people think. Spurs are full of confidence and have had a few good results. We are gonna be given alot of chances in this game as Spurs are poor at the back its just a matter of taking our chances.

Ive been very happy in the last few games that we are now starting to keep clean sheets again.

3-1 to the redmen.

I'd go with the same team as Chelsea, with Babel and Torres ready to come on to make an impact if needed. Alonso and Masch to boss midfield and let the rest do the business up front.

Spurs look decent going forward but very shaky at the back - I imagine our tactics will be to stop them playing between the lines and hurt them on the break. Also exploit set piece opportunities as they look very vulnerable in those situations - thinking that it might be worth sarting Sami just for this reason, also Carra could do with a rest..

Hope Torres is back for this one as we need some pace in our attack.

-------------Reina-------------
Arbeloa-Sami-Agger-Aurelio
Gerrard-Masch-Alonso-Riera
----------Keane-Torres--------

Subs: Cavalieri, Carra, Dossena, Lucas, Benayoun, Babel, Kuyt

Babel to start up top if Torres not fit, or to come off the bench for him second half if he is.

They've got some decent players going forward, but who's going to get the ball to their front boys? Who's going to win it back for them? Huddlestone? Please.

Decent player but I can't see him and Modric getting change out of Xabi and Masch. We'll do to these what we did to Man U and Chelsea - dominate midfield, strangle their possession, break at their back four - repeat, rinse, win.

Their comeback against Arsenal may even be a good thing - they'll be wanting to come forward, play attacking open football with the crowd behind them. Worst thing they could try 'cos we don't leave teams space to play, but they will. Bring 'em on.

there is no way they will have Gomes in goal - reckon they will have Cesar in goal instead for this one.

I think we need Torres back in attack for this one, he could do a lot of damage against there shite defence

It's been better in recent weeks. Torres goal against Man City, and Sami's effort yesterday that went close, spring to mind.

I watched the game yesterday and Gomez looks very poor at crosses so for that reason i would play

                                Keane
                              Gerrard

Riera            Alonso                 Masc               pennant

Keep on putting cross after cross into the box and im sure we will win the game with Torres coming on in the second half (No point rushing him)

i thought about having gerrard in the middle with Kuyt up front but if riera and pennant stick out wide we could do with alonso picking them out.

Modric meet Mascherano, Mascherano meet Modric. Our monster Masch will escort you through the game and expect to see him every single time you get the ball! :)

It will be a tough match and certainly not a game to take for granted, especially as their players, coach and crowd will have a "bring on the reds" mentality. However, I think the way they play really suits us and it will certainly help thatwhilst we have rested players, they probably have a few knackered bodies after their exploits last night.

Will be nice to see Torres on the bench. (Well it certainly sounds so far as though he will make it) We've coped well without him, but I've certainly missed watching him play and that huge smile he gives us when he scores!!

Nervous/....? for what...oh because they have lennon and bent , and jenas and bently...?

So what..we have babel and reira and pennant and el zhar ...and most probably torres may come...what's there to fear? It's going to be like the man city game...My personal view...
it will be tight..but babel will provide a great cross, leaving Gomes to consider coming out or not...as he does eventually come out...kuyt will slither it in...

This game will end up in a stalemate unfortunately. However,we should use the same line-up as we did against Chelsea.
Think Keane will break the ice against his old team for the first time this season in the league.;)

It'll be three points and just as important as the next three points.
The most important thing is to maintain the gap and as someone else
said at least match our main rivals results.

Spurs under a new manager, a new lease of life, playing much better. A top 5 side on paper really and off the back of an excellent point at Arsenal. And at a ground we're notoriously poor at. If we go to Spurs and get a win I'll go from believing we can challenge to believing we're the favourites. Dunno why really, I just think it'll be a tough, tough game.
