April 25th Game vs Burnley
« on: January 28, 2020, 07:22:51 pm »
All; I’m a long time lurker but first time poster.  I’m a fan but now live in the US. Looking to come to the Burnley game and realized (just now) that it may move from the Sat 3pm slot.  Any insight from this forum on likely date of that game?

To many variables to say for certain. Such as where we stand in the Champions League.

Feb 21st is when the changes for April fixtures are announced.

You'll know then. :wave

( April 1st is the announcement for May fixture changes before someone asks... :wave )

Those are the estimated dates, no guarantee they'll be announced then. ;)

That Burnley game will 100% be televised.

I think at least one of our last seven league games has to be non-televised.

The date of this game is likely to be caveated on the CL Semi Finals, when April's tv games are announced next month.

Alf - would you be so kind to elaborate on this?  Do you mean more likely to be a Saturday kick off (early or regular 3pm) if Liverpool are in the semis?

Look at this from 2 years ago. The Burnley weekend could have similar caveats to the 2 weekends where we played West Brom & Stoke.

All; saw the announcement today for the April 25th game on the Premier League website. Does this mean it wont change irrespective of FA or CL games?

You'll be safe enough. The F.A. Cup semi-finals are the previous weekend and the first legs of the Champions League semi-finals are due to take place on the 28th and 29th of April so the midweek after the Burnley league game. If we are still in the Champions League, we could certainly play on the 25th and the 28th as there would be two full days between those two matches.
