Rawk is the reflection of the memory of a once forgotten dream.  It exists within the falling tear of a comely maiden surprised in the act of bathing a peregrine falcon that has been plucked by the elderly and confused Marquis of Burnley.

It is hosted by Cannon but not Ball.

Fourteen pygmies laboured for seven times seven fortnights to create the basic design for the pages.  The Kremlin, the chairman of Homebase UK and the Saint Winifreds school choir are all members of the Board of
Directors.  The parietal lobe of the Duchess of Kent is our official patron.

Rawk is open every day except when deemed astrologically unsound by ouyr in house shaman.  A sacrifice to the pagan gods of ancient Mesopotamia is made during every backup.

Custome titles are determined by consulting a sentient Oak tree that communicates by striking a childs xylophone which has two bars missing.

And as everyone knows, within the RAWK central command unit there are a team of genetically engineered monkey's.  They walk on a series of tightropes suspended over a pit full of lambs, kittens and baby seals juggling frag grenades and molotov cocktails as they go.

In a nearby pigeon coop swarms of trained attack pigeons wait for a new post to be put on the RAWK board, at this point a pigeon is released and makes a beeline for the monkey jugglers.  The pigeon tries to distract the mod monkey's into dropping a grenade etc into the pit below.  Should they succeed in doing so a large reptilian hamster emerges to collect the bloodied carcasses of the lambs, kittens etc and place them on a set of scales, depending on the weight registered on these scales a number of stars is awarded to the poster.

Hope this clear everything up.  By asking this question you have identified yourself as a troublemaker.  Any more nonsense and you'll be back on the official site, Kapisch >:(
Well, I don't know what it is, but there's definitely something going on upstairs

Who started RAWK and when did they start it?

It was started by a troop of Ukranian midget lap dancers who smuggled themselves back to the UK in the suitcases of returning Reds in October 2001.

Who owns this site? Is it one of the RAWK staff?

The people of Cuba. It was bequeathed to the socialist state in the wills of the Ukranian lap dancers who died when a shopping trolley they were travelling in veered out of control and plunged into the Albert Dock. There were no survivors.

Is everything done from a home PC?

Mission control is based in an air-conditioned penthouse suite on the top floor of the Havana Hilton and the site is run from a bank of Cray super-computers.

Are RAWK staff paid or is this site a hobby?

The only "payment in kind" is in cigars handrolled on the naked thighs of Cuban maidens.

That would be me and Bob. Not sure the exact date, but sometime in April 2001 just after the old official site was changed to the new .tv one. Oldest post being http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php/topic,4076.0.html

exactly.
When my RAWK Membership pack came through the door, the articles of membership and history of the site pamphlet quite clearly state that RAWK was formed in the way Armin spoke of, and indeed the loyal allegiance oath we have to take mentions the monkeys and pidgeons. Surprised no-one else got that...

Ben I have two questions...

What has happened to you "£" key?

Did we ever get any further with getting loads of people to set up a standing order for a relatively small amount each month?

Cant remember how I found the site, I registered but then didn't return to the site for ages.  It was only when I was working on blueyonder's helpdesk and I took a call from Bob K who was telling me about the site and I remembered I had registered, so came back not long after that and started posting.
