Problem is now you need an allocation of over 5k for anything to drop to STH as everyone with Rome will I assume continue to buy. .

Does any team give an allocation of over 5k?
San Siro maybe? Not many big stadiums, most will be in pot 1 or 2 as well

As of next season the European away collection ratio is going to increase - you will probably still be able to put in peoples names (that won't stop untill after the amnesty) so there will be a lot more available if you really want to go

Exactly this especially as people now know it guarantees you a final ticket. Not sure who else gives 5k+. IIRC it was surprising at the time at the size of the Roma allocation.

One away has always guaranteed you a final ticket, it’s nothing new.

Not sure it's stated anywhere but it's a fair assumption to make when you look at the trend...200 in Munich, 400 in Porto, 600 in Barca...clearly the end game is 100% collection.

After the win on Saturday will we ever see a euro away go to zero credits?

Who do we need to draw to stand a chance?

Any team from Ukraine, Turkey or Russia I think. 3 already qualified that we can get with 3 more teams in the qualifiers. Zenits new stadium would’ve been good but they are in Pot1

My prayers are mainly for a string of super unglamorous fixtures in a bush somewhere Far East that I can get a credit on.

Seems highly unlikely thinking about it. There’s about 6,000 on one credit now. People will just find Russian/Ukrainian reds to collect on their behalf for the credit. We are blockbuster. People want to watch us in every country.

Collection and proof of travel will put many off. Good chance we draw at least one team East of Berlin

No visa required to travel to Ukraine from the UK, and can’t see them having full collection in Ukraine either. I think a Russian team is the only possibility.

It's gone up steadily though after each round last season. Would expect at least 50/50 for first game, wherever we're drawn.

I'll keep posting this in threads, but the collection thing needs careful thought.
A number of people in Madird felt extremely unsafe exiting the hotel after collecting tickets. I don't know if any were targeted.
But it's a bit unfair to put people through that and it needs adding to the discussion around collections.

It’s definitely doable , United manage it.

Think people loitering outside don’t help. If I had collected in Madrid I’d have just done an Uber back to my hotel or somewhere. Is a bit of an easy target in games like that.

Got to say the staff have been great in my experiences to date.

It’s a valid point because it means the ticket office are indirectly assisting a situation they’re trying to discourage.

Collection is a load of shite as far as getting credits in the hands of people who go if they still let you transfer the ticket to someone else.

Problem is, people have been going on other people’s tickets for years.Me and me mate got season tickets about 8 years ago and built up the credits on them while maintaining our credits on our old cards  with our mates using them. Our mates still use our old fancards to this day. We’d happily transfer the credits.

They need a one off amnesty where people can transfer credits to whoever’s been using the tickets. After that, people can’t transfer tickets and proof of travel with sanctions / bans / loss of credits for people found to be faking is much better than the distraction / security risk of collection.

Problem is transferring those credits will hard, tracking who has gone to what game etc. Would say there’s hundreds in this situation too so it’s hard

The cardholder nominates who they’re being transferred to. Or the club do it based on the names submitted in the past. I don’t see that as a difficult bit.

Leaving it with cardholders to pick who they want isn’t really the answers. All sorts of disputes will arise.I agree with whoever names have been submitted but there’s no way of knowing whether they actually travelled either.

The point is that it’s a one off. After that only the credit holder is entitled to buy tickets. That way, sales start filtering down to people buying on their own cards.

I agree we need to get people buying off their own cards but I don’t think a 1 off transfer of credits is the a answer. People could easily look to sell a loaded Euro away card before the transfer

I like Barry's idea in principle but could be abused a bit I guess. Would end up with quite a few potentially on one or two credits their mate transferred to them and the requirements for even the less glamorous games (or bigger allocations) shooting up.

I'd love a credit but grateful mates made here and at games have helped.

If people sold a card with full credits off it isn't really inconveniencing you though. Just means it's a different person ahead of you presuming they're a head of you.

Everyone is ahead of me on this. My point is could you imagine people selling fully loaded home cards every season, then again it probably happens so who cares. Not like a Euro away card wouldn’t be worth couple thousand
