I agree. It’s the Spuds who should be worried if they go for Eriksson 👌🏻
Modric Kroos and Casemiro will do a job in their midfield for another season.
Isco Bale and Benzema in attack with Assensio, Vasquez and Jnr on the bench.
Has Eriksson been linked with them?

Wouldn't be surprised if they go all in for him and Cavani after today's result.

Atletico have a great chance to win La Liga this season, they retained their backline who is rock solid and hardly concedes especially at home and bought very smartly going forward, they have a lot of depth too.

Real were always going to struggle after Zidane's and Ronaldo's departures and I doubt Messi will carry Barca single handedly as he did last season with Iniesta's departure and Suarez not getting any younger, Coutinho will need to step up massively for them, but even then their business haven't been that great as I think Vidal has declined in the last year while Dembele and Malcom remain as wild cards still.

It's madness that Dembele is a wild card as he cost a fucking bomb.

For me he was a complete panic buy.

There has always been friction behind the scenes at RM, bet you anything something will come out. They have been pretty poor tonight. Unless they just thought in their arrogant way that they didn't need to replace Ronaldo, nothing would surprise me.
Their transfer business have been bizarre for a while, especially considering it is very un-Perez like.

Their last Galactico signing was James Rodriguez in 2014. They let go of him last summer and it didn't make any sense to basically gift him like that to Bayern. They should have kept Kovacic and fought tooth and nail for him but they let him go. Their bench is very weak too, some of the players on the bench are probably on Everton's or West Ham's levels.

And what kind of coach is Lopetegui? I don´t remember exactly how the guy got the job of coaching Porto, some Jorge Mendiesque stuff, the usual because he had no pedigree before that. And at Porto won absolutely nothing in 2 years.

They will be doing some panic buying now after that defeat, they don't usually lose finals. Lets hope it causes some damage.

He worked at the Real Madrid youth teams and done well with them before, and was really good with Spain (albeit having never managed at any competition) although International football couldn't be further away from club management nowadays.

I don't think this game is a good judge on how his tenure will look like, remember everyone wrote Barca off after the two Classicos at the Super cup last year and they went on and won the double but the signs are not good for this Real side.

They rejected him when it was apparent Juve would be selling and they thought he was way too expensive, seems like he is Barca bound now.

Aye. Sometimes you just need a c*nt to fuck another c*nt up. Ramos stays away from the likes of Costa, Suarez, Zlatan. Would probably lump Icardi in there, but he's another grade altogether. Still brilliant though. This is still a little irk that I have with this Liverpool side, we lack the appetite and attitude to dish it out when opposing teams try to counter our rock and roll football by underhand methods. We are just far too nice imo. The likes of Gerrard and Suarez wouldn't have tolerated that shit. Keita might add some aggression in our play, but that's about it.

My one regret about the Mourinho years at Real is that despite all the handbags and sideline extracurriculars between them and Atleti, Moño Burgos never got a chance to rip the moaning cnut's head off and dropkick it into a goal from 60 yards.

I must say though, the athleticism for those Atletico goals was world class.
“I want to build a team that's invincible, so that they have to send a team from bloody Mars to beat us!” “For a player to be good enough to play for Liverpool, he must be prepared to run through a brick wall for me then come out fighting on the other side."
