Could someone explain the chant at the French open where 1 person in the crowd shouts a tune and the crowd roar at the end??
It's like:

-Ba bop bapa bappa bappaaa
-Ooleeey

If Fognini worked like Nadal he'd be a top 10 player, pushing top 5. Unbelievably skilled player, but doesn't make the most of what he has. There's no way on this planet he should be ranked below Carreno-Busta, Anderson, Isner, Schwartzman, Bautista Agut, Sock, Querrey, Pouille or Edmund.

I was about to post.. as much as I hate John Isner, I love Fognini.

Has some massive wins in his career so you’re probably right, beaten both Nadal and Murray multiple times.

One of those kind of players that struggles to get motivated when he's not on a show court or playing a big match. If he had the work ethic and sheer will to win, he'd be quality.

Fognini is the definition of erratic. He hit Edmund off the court in the first set and now he's lost 16 points in a row in the second. Ridiculous player.

Now he's suddenly decided that he's arsed again and has got a break back. I expect his coach will have ripped most of the hair from his scalp by now.

And lose it he has ;D

Fair play to Edmund, he's been pretty consistent, he just needs to maintain his level and hope that Fognini beats himself.

Clever by Edmund though having a medical timeout. Halted Fognini’s momentum.

If Fognini didn't have mental walkabouts he'd have won this in straight sets. His best tennis is far superior to Edmund's but he's his own worst enemy.

Each of Djokovic's sets yesterday lasted longer than the whole Pliskova - Sharapova match today.

If Williams beats Georges she'll face Sharapova. We know Sharapova just couldn't beat Williams for love nor money before Williams left the tour for a while, but if she either gets by her or avoids facing her she wins it in my opinion.

Williams aside, Sharapova is a mental giant compared to the others left in it. I'd back her to beat any of them in a pressured environment. Doesn't mean it's guaranteed, but if I had to have a tenner on somebody she'd be the one. Think she needs Georges to beat Williams later though, just because of the H2H dynamic. If that happens Sharapova should be made favourite immediately.

Yeah, I love Nadal but these early matches are nothing more than looseners for him and they're not worth watching. He won this event without dropping more than 4 games in a set last year, I doubt that's ever been done before at any Grand Slam.

Yeah agreed, great player obviously but it's boring watching him stroll past inferior players.

That last set in the Monfils-Goffin match was enthralling, a bit gutted Monfils didn't take those match points he had, he looked shot too, a big danger he won't have enough to compete in this last set.

Everytime I watch Monfils it looks like he's knackered after about half an hour on court, how is that the case? One of the most athletic guys you'll ever see, but can't compete for long enough. Is he just not putting it in off court?

Williams vs Sharapova in round 4!

It'll be absolutely damning on women's tennis if Serena can take a year out to have a baby then return and win her first slam back, all at the age of 36.
