At least it's not on the Review field,

Is that related to the expansion of the cricket club?
Or something else?

I don't know Nessy, but it seems likely your news is the more plausible.
Hope so, I've fond memories of watching the odd game from the vantage point of the top floor of the nearest block of flats, where I lived in the 60s.

Let's hope so. I can't see the council going back to any plans to build on the parks so soon after the Calderstones fiasco.

I see the food and drink festival in the park won't be happening any more.

On my phone so can't link, but it's on the Echo site.

I haven't been in the Palm House for moons . It's toasties an all that and she has a spiritual vibe too. You are sitting in big womb when your are in there. Think or feel the geometry next time you are there.

Yep. That's it . She is home for many of us. When I lived in Paris for a bit I loved Buttes Chamont and that kept me sane when living in a city. I couldn't help but think of Sevvie Park when I was there though. I guess it's when you have history especially with good childhood memories of that place too.  Last Summer me and me Dah were walking through from the cave side and down the brook towards the cafe . He points up at one of pine trees on the little hill and says ...  ' I use too hide up there as a kid ' .

Beautiful.

The Lanterns on the Lake event was good. We walked over last night and it was rammed with people. Weather was perfect for it, so loads there. They even had a pontoon bridge across the lake so you could get a good view of the lanterns. They also had some really colourful lanterns in the Palm House but you had to pay to get in and we forgot to take money with us.

He was probably equally alarmed by a couple, walking through the park, in the pitch dark.

I bet you'd be the couple who went down the stairs into the cellar of the haunted house when the other teens dared you after playing the ouija board.

No, it was at the north end of the park. He was stood right next to Caroline Elliot's bench. The girl who was killed by a stolen car whilst she was jogging around the park in 1996.

This is why it looked ever more weird. There was a bench right there to sit on, yet this guy was just stood there, motionless.

Funny enough, I was carrying a very large, very heavy black bin bag at the time. I said to my girlfriend how he probably went home that night and told everyone how he'd encountered two weirdos in the pitch dark in the park carrying a body wrapped in a black bin liner.  :D

You have us bang to rights with your second line.
