Anyone using the 'Hard Mode' where any revealed hints must be used in subsequent guesses?

I do that anyway, I hadn't realised you didn't have to when I first started and just carried on like that.

Struggled today, that was my worst one I think!

Yeah I really struggled with this one too, got it in 4 but must've spent a good 10 minutes just staring at the letters thinking it was an impossible word.  Which it isn't, but it's a very distinct word.

Didnt get to play yesterday.

Today I realised that my first 3 guesses are always to get in as much eliminations/confirmations as possible and based on that, use the last 3 to get the word. I dont think of the word, until the 4th guess.

Do you also do it the same way? Or do you have a way for guessing them in 2 or 3 guesses even.

I always try to get it in as few goes as possible , however that relies heavily on being lucky with the first guess

I use the first 2 goes to eliminate 10 letters then take it from there.

Think I'll move to hard mode once my current streak gets broken.

Yes, my first two guesses are ones that use all the vowels the 3rd is one that uses most consonants, then I go from there

Seems a useful tactic (more often than not)  getting in 3 vowels in the first guess,  and going from there.

I change it every time. Typical guess would involve 2/3 vowels, then a common consonant (t, s, c, h, g)

I had the exact same but managed five guesses. Once you have the last three letters, its just pot luck if you get the legitimate words that can be made with the last three letters.
