Wow. Incredible performance for the first game.

The quality of players coming off the bench was wonderful, all looked very sharp. Credit to Henderson for being match fit so quickly.

Every single player was an 8/10 today, with mane getting a 9.

Milner doesn't count, as he got an 11, but he's not human. He's what they based that Benjamin Button film off. Nearly 100 passes, 93% completion rate, energy like a duracell bunny. Phenomenal.

Shaqiri looks like he belongs in the side, it's amazing what having better players around you can do. He looked class even in the little cameo we saw him in. I think both him and Sturrridge will play big parts this season.

Really good game- controlled the game pretry much... glad we kept a clean sheet...

Two minor points:

We could have scored more but slowed the game down

and the ref was fucking crap...

Yellow for trent, antonio got everything, offside goal, ref blocking our attack and they nearly score and stopping Play because they had two players lying around and restarting the game with them kickend it to allison.... what a joke he was....

Must be a record the sturridge goal i think....

The thing that also stands out for me is not only how good the bench was but we had not got the likes of Lovren, Matip, Ox or a couple of the young lads in the 18.

West Ham's fixtures suck.

Anyway, we were probably a 7.5/10 overall and still won 4-0. Very hopeful of sustaining a title challenge this season, though never expectant of winning it of course. Not being a Liverpool fan.

Can't complain about that, fantastic start. Kept a clean sheet and everyone looked good, some lacking sharpness but its the first game so to be expected.

Think West Ham will be just fine and finish in the top half of the table.
