I'm sure if Brook reads this he'll be happy to get mentioned in the same sentence as Duran  :)

Depends. He went back down to 147 so now it looks Amir is running away then he might go back

Up.
He can't be fighting Frankie Gavin type opponents at this stage of his career. Getting the big fights isn't always easy in boxing but his team needs to get him in a world title bout in his next fight or the one after.

‘Got brutally knocked out’ and ‘had to quit because his face was being rearranged. Twice’ are pretty much of a muchness Fordy. They’re both very wealthy blokes, and both very brave blokes for stepping into a ring to fight someone else. Particularly after getting battered. But they’ve both made questionable decisions in their career which has meant neither of them has lived up to the early promise.
Spot on. Boxers are braver than the average, and neither Brook nor Khan can be labelled 'cowards'.

I’ve no interest in AJ fighting Miller & if the fight happens in the US. I won’t be staying up or paying for it. I don’t think Joshua did himself any favours at the Whyte-Chisora rematch.

So when Khan doesn’t fight Brook, he’s got Crawford lined up.

When Brook doesn’t fight Khan, he’s offered Jeff Horn

Hmmm
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Says it all that Horn would probably be the best name on his CV outside Porter.

Bet he takes the Horn fight and then fights another two Latvian electricians in Sheffield. Seems to be the way his career goes.

AJ V Miller is such a letdown of a fight, Miller is s pudding who wears a skirt to his fights. He needs to take the Whyte fight to shut him up then go all out in calling out Wilder. Whyte also needs to step up the competition a bit, someone like Ortiz would give him a world of problems, even Usyk would.

I think it could be a great fight in all honesty. Miller will come out swinging for the fences, so we could get 4-5 rounds of good action before AJ KO's him. As an introduction to a US audience, they could do far worse.

Whyte has earned a rematch and it could also be a very good fight while it lasts.

The trouble with the HW division is that any fight AJ takes aside from Wilder or Fury will be met with derision. Miller is an unbeaten loudmouth so it makes perfect sense to use him as a platform. The alternatives are a bit shit. Pulev is a solid fighter but is stylistic heaven for Joshua.

Says it all that Horn would probably be the best name on his CV outside Porter.
I had to double check, and you're right. Brook's CV is pretty damned bare.

When he won the world title and then fought Kevin Bizier, Frankie Gavin & Jo Jo Dan. That's why I shake my head when I hear Eddie Hearn criticise James DeGale for fighting in the US after he won the IBF title.

Right decision, but I'd kind of rather see either against Joshua.

Not going to happen anytime soon, these two have unfinished business that needs sorting. Joshua will just have to wait and maybe take the Whyte or Miller fight as a tune-up

He might be waiting for a year at least if there's a rematch clause. He's basically treading water till 2020.

Lolz.

Same way as Canelo fight, Amir win the early rounds and Crawford will find his range and it will be lights out for Amir (Again) about round 4 or 5.

Crawford gets it on with Spence later in 2019, fingers crossed.

I think Crawford will box the ears off Spence if and when it happens. Khan will be competitive for a while but end up on his arse in the mid-rounds.

Linares has always been vulnerable, and he was blasted out in a round before if I recall. Great fighter but there are always chinks in his armour. Surprising to see him get taken out by a guy who was almost getting towards journeyman status but that's boxing!

According to Ring Magazine, Wlad is discussing a three-fight deal with DAZN to come out of retirement. First fight against a no-mark, second against Fury, third against AJ. He is 43 in March, this is NOT a good idea! Although in fairness to Wlad, part of the deal involves DAZN making a large donation to UNESCO.

Fucking Hell, 30 seconds left in the fight as well. That might take the record from my man Ian John Lewis stopping Enzo.

I don't think he beats Fury or AJ, especially not at 43. I'd take the Wilder route if I were him.

Anthony Joshua opponent expected to be confirmed by Eddie Hearn next week
"I think you should get a decision next week," says promoter

By Tim Hobbs
Last Updated: 19/01/19 11:21am

Anthony Joshua's next opponent should be confirmed next week, says promoter Eddie Hearn.

Joshua is scheduled to defend his world heavyweight titles at Wembley Stadium on April 13, with Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury, Dillian Whyte and Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller all being linked with the British star.

Wilder and his team have been ordered by the WBC to open rematch talks with Fury following their controversial draw in December. Hearn insists there is "radio silence" from the 'Bronze Bomber', but he has spoken to Fury.

Whyte turned down the initial offer to become Joshua's IBF, WBA and WBO challenger in April and with Brooklyn's Miller behind those three, the promoter is expecting to make an announcement in the next seven days.

"There is radio silence from Wilder, Fury we're talking to and Whyte we're talking to," he told DAZN.

"He (Whyte) has got his price tag, Anthony's got the price tag he wants to pay. It's a voluntary shot for Dillian Whyte, and part of me would love to see Anthony Joshua come to the States.

"'Big Baby' Miller is creeping into the top five right now. He's making some noise in America and to be a global star at some time, you have to fight in America.

"And to see Anthony Joshua fill up Madison Square Garden, with 21-22,000, that is a real statement of intent for a heavyweight world champion, for a Brit especially, so we'll see what happens.

"I think you'll get a decision next week. For me, if he can't get Wilder, Fury or Dillian, he must come to America and Jarrell would be at the front of that queue."

I'm okay with Miller since Fury and Wilder are off the table. Only other semi-decent options would be granddad Ortiz or Pulev.
