Just watched episode 7. Wow. Brilliant. Full of symbolism and appropriate amount of darkness. Just brilliant.

An episode with only 3 voice actors (and one of them was only the 2 adverts guy in the Sam Elliot style)...amazing. The fact that each Rick and each Morty had their own style and slightly different way of speaking. Very very clever.

On a sidenote, I've been giving HarmonQuest a watch, and it's great. Proper funny improv stuff based around playing an RPG Fantasy game

Just watched Ep. 7, wow. Unbelievable television that. As someone said earlier, the right amount of symbolism and darkness. It just keeps getting better and better.

I'm not a huge fan of 'clip show' episodes but I loved episode 8, so many brilliant moments there. This show never disappoints.

I'm watching it when it comes on Netflix so I've only just watched Episode 7. It might be the best episode of TV I've seen in years. Absolutely phenomenal stuff

Dan Harmon does great clip episodes, the Community ones were great.

I just love how absurd Mr.Poopy Butthole is. Uhhh Weee!

Good finale, there were interviews where this would be pushed to 14 episodes per season and I wouldn't be any happier if it happens.

After all the buildup re: Evil Morty we instead got another reboot episode. I guess it'll be interesting to see the dynamics having two Ricks in the frame and having the continued uncertainty about Beth being a clone.

Started off a bit slow this season but the second half was dynamite. Quite happy with the ending...

...it pushes things to the point where Rick is now on the outer edges of the family, which puts things in a new perspective, while bringing Jerry back, which I hope we can all agree is for the best. Good to see Mr Poopy Butthole got through physical rehabilitation too.

Didn't go crazy about the finale but left it open and promising about what might follow.

See, that's exactly what I find annoying.

Rick was on the outer edges of the family at the end of the last season and Jerry was in.

All the ending did was restore the status quo.

And I get that. But Dan Harmon does this a bit too often now. He did the same with Community.

Maybe I missed something but why are there two Ricks in the frame? Wasn't Flyfishing Rick just normal Rick wearing Jerry's hat?

Anyway, I was pretty disappointed with where they went with the episode. It's still funny which is the main point of the show but thought they were going to do more interesting things with the plot this season.

hahah you're probably right. Clearly I had zoned out by the end of the episode. Well that's.. kinda even worse.

As I said earlier, the whole business of breaking the fourth wall or throwing a massive wink at the audience's way about rebooting the series is fine and good once in a while. Maybe even once every couple of seasons. But it does get old.

Archer is a show that does something similar, but it kinda doesn't matter as much because Archer is basically a genre show. And changing genres every few seasons while keeping the characters the same is basically consistent with what it's about.

Fair to say the latest series has been a mixed bag in terms of general laugh out loud moments?
