Define a 'real' proclamation of independence??

I think what he meant by real Matt is one of the Originals which have the G's (I think) wrong due to the printing press. Worth a few bob too.

The ones that Pearse was handing out during the Easter Rising in 1916? I recall someone finding one in their attic a few years ago and it being sold for quite a bit.

€200 a week.

Thats ridiculous, how come in the north it's only £64 a week?
I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager.

I laugh at some right wingers when they say that the left econimics will never work. Look at the last number of years they say we had it good, well not everyone but you get me.The Multinational Capitalists grou[ps raked in on personal profit while Countries died on their feet. It is the failed policy of the past that has us in the situation we are now in and I for one do not think Capitalism works for the good of all as has been proved in the last decade and more. Mind you Solicialism is not the answer either.

Arise the Left!! ;D Had to get that in.

Its a joke.

I have a mate who registered to an address in Bridgend ( literally 50 yards over the border) and he left his job to go on the dole down south....while living in Derry.

The real problem with Irish poltics is that people are inbedded in blind loyalty and the mindnumbing choice whether to vote for Fianna Fáil or Fine Gael and the old and very fucking annoying saying 'Well me dad/mam/fucking granparents voted for' said FG or that FF politician etc etc.

In todays political society it is blindingly fucking obvious that Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are in effect the same party as far as their policies are concerned. Tradition the Irish Political way gets on my fucking tits!

I would like to see a United Ireland and would be willing to take the economic hit that accompanied it.
Would you be willing to take the almost inevitable violence that would follow?

I'd prefer no violence, but you're right that it's inevitable.
For me it's to big a risk. There was imo a need for violence a few decades ago, now though there is no need at all for people to die.

If you don't think there would be killing in the streets again you are being very naive. UDA UVF would start up again which would lead to the IRA taking arms. This would force the Irish army to step in and chaos would ensue.
