I doubt anyone who watches Hannity will care that he's involved. They'll believe any shit that is spewed out. Same with Trump, once you listen to the man and start nodding along with whatever he says, no amount of rational opposite debate will puncture what you believe to be true.

Nope, you're right.  The investors and shareholders and advertisers will care though.  Some of them might not want to be associated with a guy who has connections to somebody mired in such deep levels of corruption.  It might - only might mind - force FOX to back off a little.

Looks like Hannity has amassed quite the property portfolio

Quote
The records link Hannity to a group of shell companies that spent at least $90m on more than 870 homes in seven states over the past decade. The properties range from luxurious mansions to rentals for low-income families. Hannity is the hidden owner behind some of the shell companies and his attorney did not dispute that he owns all of them.

Dozens of the properties were bought at a discount in 2013, after banks foreclosed on their previous owners for defaulting on mortgages. Before and after then, Hannity sharply criticised Barack Obama for the US foreclosure rate. In January 2016, Hannity said there were “millions more Americans suffering under this president” partly because of foreclosures.

Hannity, 56, also amassed part of his property collection with support from the US Department for Housing and Urban Development (Hud), a fact he did not disclose when praising Ben Carson, the Hud secretary, on his television show last year.

[...]

Among the most valuable are two large apartment complexes in Georgia that Hannity bought in 2014 for $22.7m. The developments are in the cities of Perry and Brunswick, which have higher poverty rates and lower median incomes than the US averages. One- and two-bedroom units in Hannity‍‍‍’s apartment complexes are available to rent for $735 to $1,065 per month, according to brochures.

No surprises he's on $36m per year.

He'll come out saying he's providing housing for low income earners because the Obama government failed them.

Poor old Brian Kilmeade  is forced to live in an MS-13 neighbourhood

Fox & Friends host delivers horrific rant against immigrant kids: ‘A lot of them turn into MS-13’

Quote
Fox News host Brian Kilmeade described immigrant children as burdensome and potentially violent as he defended the Trump administration policy to break up migrant families at the border.

The “Fox & Friends” hosts justified the controversial policy throughout Tuesday morning, and co-host Ainsley Earhardt complained the Department of Health and Human Services had spent $1 billion last year caring for migrant children held in detention.

“Jeff Sessions says they are not being abused,” Earhardt said. “He says the conditions are good. He says we spent $1 billion last year, your taxpayer dollars to make sure these kids are safe.”

Kilmeade took the baton from there, and rattled off a series of statistics, dismissive statements and inflammatory claims to rally viewers behind President Donald Trump and his policy.

“Just get these numbers straight,” he said. “Separation is the issue first ladies past and present weighing in saying they are upset — 68 percent of independents are not for the separation and 91 percent of Dems and most Republicans. I get it, figure out a way to keep parents and children together.”

He claimed 30,000 children would flood across the border by August, and he argued the U.S. could not afford to care for them.

“As Nancy Pelosi steps over the homeless in San Francisco to hop on the plane to go to the border to have her heart bleed for people from other countries that are coming here, understand we are $20 trillion in debt,” Kilmeade said. “We have classrooms that are overrun, we have teachers buying their own supplies. These kids come in — fantastic, Oprah Winfrey, I’m glad you are upset about it.”

Kilmeade carried on at a fever pitch.

“These kids get fanned out to working class neighborhoods, into our society, and then they have to be paid for by English is a second language and then they have got to be schooled and a lot of them — sadly, in my neighborhood — turn into MS-13.”

“So, the bottom line is,” he continued, “the thing is, these kids are coming across, you don’t have to vilify somebody. You have to solve the issue.”

Earhardt and co-host Steve Doocy agreed the parents were to blame for bringing or sending their children into the U.S., and all three hosts agreed the real victims of the unpopular policy were the Border Patrol agents enforcing the Trump order.

“You have to put the blame on the parents,” Earhardt said. “They are choosing to enter between the ports of entry. They know they will be separated, but they want to blame the government when we are forced to do that. Let’s put the blame where it lies, not on the fine men and women of Border Patrol.”

“I feel bad for the Border Patrol,” Kilmeade agreed.

Laura Ingraham: Demographic changes 'national emergency'

Quote
Fox News host Laura Ingraham has denied claims that her remarks about "massive demographic changes" in the US being a "national emergency" were racist.

On Thursday, Ms Ingraham said she does not support white nationalists at all, calling them "antithetical" to her beliefs.

Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke had reportedly tweeted support of Ms Ingraham's Wednesday show.

Her comments drew sharp criticism from Democrats and some conservatives.

Ms Ingraham's controversial statements come days before a white nationalist rally in Washington DC.

It falls on the anniversary of the first Charlottesville white supremacist rally, which eventually led to the death of one counter-protester.

What did Laura Ingraham say?

Then:

On Wednesday, Ms Ingraham began her programme by saying: "In some parts of the country, it does seem like the America that we know and love doesn't exist anymore.

"Massive demographic changes have been foisted upon the American people and they're changes that none of us ever voted for and most of us don't like.

"From Virginia to California, we see stark examples of how radically in some ways the country has changed. Now, much of this is related to both illegal and in some cases, legal immigration that, of course, progressives love."

She was discussing congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a Democratic socialist, who recently said that the "upper middle-class doesn't exist anymore".

Ms Ingraham went on to say that immigrants would "remake and reshape America" the way "socialists" want.

"This is exactly what socialists like Ocasio-Cortez want: eventually diluting and overwhelming your vote with the votes of others who aren't, let's face it, too big on Adam Smith and the federalist papers," Ms Ingraham said.

Now:

After uproar on social media accusing her of immigrant-blaming, Ms Ingraham clarified the monologue on her Thursday show.

She said the purpose had been to discuss border security and people were "distorting" her views.

"Despite what some may be contending, I made explicitly clear that my commentary had nothing to do with race or ethnicity but rather, a shared goal of keeping America safe and her citizens safe and prosperous."

Ms Ingraham praised merit-based immigration as doing "wonders for a country's economy" - though she had pointed out legal immigration as being an unwanted change in her programme the night before.

She also appeared to call out David Duke's Twitter support.

"All white nationalists, and especially one racist freak whose name I will not even mention, you do not have my support, you don't represent my views, and you are antithetical to the beliefs I hold dear."

What's the reaction?

White supremacist David Duke tweeted that Ms Ingraham's Wednesday show was "one of the most important (truthful) monologues" in history, according to the Daily Beast, but he has since deleted the post.

Conservative television host SE Cupp told Ms Ingraham on Twitter to "speak for yourself".

Democratic congressman Ted Lieu, a US Air Force veteran, said he served to defend Ms Ingraham's right "to make racist statements".

Neera Tanden, president of the Center for American Progress, tweeted simply - "Let me shorten this for you Laura: you're a racist."

Quote
President Donald Trump has also repeatedly spoken out against immigration, most recently by calling for cuts to legal immigration processes and pathways to citizenship.

But the majority of Americans, 58%, believe increasing diversity makes the country a better place.

Pew states only 9% of Americans polled in 2018 think it makes the country worse.

Russia banning adoptions by racist ameicans is like other countries putting tarriffs that hurt Wisconsin and Michigan. It targets the base.

Who would even dream up using russian adoptions as an excuse for high level meetings unless their racist base has been talking amongst themselves about it. Seems normal to racists.

Didn't click on it - because it was FOX and I don't want to dignify their bullshit with views or clicks - but they had a youtube clip up, and the title is pretty self explanatory:

Former Trump Advisor: DOJ coerced Cohen to tell lies.

You can watch it if you like but I wouldn't bother myself.  Just found the title amusing.

Avenatti doesn't perform well at all in this interview. He lets Carlson ridicule him, laugh in his face and call Stormy a 'hooker', while he just appears to lose his rag allowing Carlson to get a condescending 'calm down in'. I've never watched Carlson before - what a snide c*nt he is. Avenatti alluded to an agreement of no 'creepy' name calling during the interview so Fox just plastered it all over the titles instead. It wasn't good viewing for any Avenatti fans at all, he was rattled rather than calm and failed miserably to produce a coherent case about the whole issue. Then at the end he was at the mercy of Carlson cutting him off with a final dig about exploitation.

I saw that Carlson / Avenatti interview the other day. I wouldn't normally waste my time watching a snide little chode like Carlson, but I watched in the hopes that Avenatti would rinse him. As John said, Avenatti didn't come across well at all. I was expecting him to be much calmer and to pick apart Carlsons bullshit rhetoric with a bit more precision.

Surely Avenatti knew what he was getting into when he agreed to a debate with Carlson? After all, it's a Fox news show, hosted by one of their prized stooges. Avenatti should have known that Carlson was going to try to discredit him and Daniels in the most demeaning way possible, as is par for the course over at Fox

Tucker Carlson loses ads over immigration comments

Advertisers are abandoning Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson amid outrage over his remarks about immigrants making the US "poorer and dirtier" and "divided".

Several companies, including insurer Pacific Life and finance company NerdWallet, have dropped Carlson's show over his controversial language.

He first made the remarks on Thursday and defended his rhetoric on Monday.

Fox News has called it an attempt by left-wing activists to "weaponise social media" and "stifle free speech".

On his programme, Tucker Carlson Tonight, last Thursday, Mr Carlson said the US needed "more scientists and skilled engineers but that's not what we're getting".

The conservative host claimed immigration was "indefensible" economically.

"Our leaders demand that you shut up and accept this. We have a moral obligation to admit the world's poor, they tell us, even if it makes our own country poorer and dirtier and more divided."

Insurance company Pacific Life pulled advertising from Mr Carlson's show last week after facing online criticism for having an ad air after the host's immigration monologue.

"We strongly disagree with Mr Carlson's statements," Pacific Life tweeted on Friday. "We will not be advertising on Mr Carlson's show in the coming weeks as we re-evaluate our relationship with his programme."

Despite the mounting backlash, the anchor defended his statements on Monday, saying he would not be intimidated by "enforcers scream[ing], 'Racist,' on Twitter".

Since Monday, personal finance company Nerd Wallet has also said in a statement to US media that it will be "re-evaluating any ongoing advertising" on Mr Carlson's programme.

Minted, a design marketplace website, tweeted on Monday that it would be "permanently discontinuing" advertising on Mr Carlson's programme over the remarks.

Job website Indeed, fitness brand Bowflex and its parent company, Nautilus, genealogy site Ancestry.com, and dental brand SmileDirectClub are also pulling commercials, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

However, not all of Mr Carlson's advertisers have opted out - Mitsubishi and Farmers Insurance told US media they did not consider politics when purchasing ads.

In a statement, a Fox official told US media: "It is a shame that left-wing advocacy groups, under the guise of being supposed 'media watchdogs', weaponise social media against companies in an effort to stifle free speech."

Fox News anchors have faced ad boycotts for controversial comments before.

Earlier this year, host Laura Ingraham lost advertisers for mocking David Hogg, a survivor of the Parkland high school shooting.

Every year we hear the same story. Why do these companies even bother advertising on Fox if they care about their image? The only reason I can see is that Fox's target audience is old, very old and if that is your product's target audience then you can't get a better platform. But companies should know what they are signing up for by now.

Fox & Friends host says he hasn’t washed hands in 10 years: ‘Germs are not a real thing — I can’t see them’

Fox News host Pete Hegseth explained on Sunday that he doesn’t wash his hands because “germs are not a real thing.”

Following a commercial break, Fox & Friends co-host Jedediah Bila revealed that Hegseth had been munching on day-old pizza that was left on the set.

“Pizza Hut lasts for a long time,” Hegseth replied, defending himself. “My 2019 resolution is to say things on air that I say off air. I don’t think I’ve washed my hands for 10 years. Really, I don’t really wash my hands ever.”

“I inoculate myself,” he continued. “Germs are not a real thing. I can’t see them. Therefore, they’re not real.”

Hegseth argued that his unsanitary habit leaves him immune to sickness.

“These hands look pretty clean to me,” he remarked.
