Has the beer or service got any better there, was fuckin dreadful on both counts up to 3/4 weeks ago? That's why we stopped going there, anybody been there more recently?

Terrible mate. They seem to be always 2-3 staff short.

I'm going to aim for earlier than 6, all being well at work.

No worries. Give us a shout if you're heading down on your bill and you can share a table with us dickheads if you like.

An attractive proposition, I'm sure.
Talking of dickheads, do you have room for another?

Anyone going to the Spread Eagle and what time you have to be in there?

I'm thinking of going straight after work with mates.

Was at Roxy Bar for the League Cup Final. Had a good atmosphere. Would recommend if you don't know where to go.

To be honest Meady, I'd be getting over to F3K if you want that. Must hold a couple of hundred on a good matchday.
That looks like the best option but my lot all work/are based over east/north and I don't think they're going to react well to me suggesting we travel across central london to Chelsea at rush hour to watch the match  :)

I can't guarantee it will be the greatest atmos ever, but this place has absolutely massive screens and is mad popular with the Bundesliga crowd and is near Liverpool Street station (it's a sign). The atmosphere is amazing for German games, and they're advertising the match on their website. I love it and the food is also boss.

Is that this one?

The Slug And Lettuce
30 S Colonnade, London, Canary Wharf E14 4QQ
020 7519 1612
www.slugandlettuce.co.uk/slug-canarywharf

Are you recommending it enough for it to be included in the list?

RAWKites need to know. :)

Unfortunately no idea, just the only place in that part of London that I can find showing it. Wonder if anywhere in the o2 will be decent?

God, I miss the Ruse now....I've been watching feeds online since its demise. Where else has/had a decent atmosphere?  Wasn't there something up the road in a Lambeth Rd/Waterloo direction that was meant to be good?

Otherwise I'll check the place on London Wall.

Which would be the best place for atmosphere?

Had a chat with a few people, apparently The Sports Bar & Grill is the best place in Canary Wharf, but expect Canary Wharf prices.

Have replied to your message. Myself & other ex-Ruse will be at Husky's in Kennington, 5 mins walk from Elephant or Kennington station. Atmosphere there will be great but it is smaller than Roxy.

Haven't lived there for a few years but the Lion and Lobster on the Hove side of town always used to be rammed for the big games, a great pub too!

Cheers! Rammed with reds? Any other shouts in from Brighton reds much appreciated?

F3k seems pretty easy to get to from where I am but is it worth making the extra effort to Roxy's or not? Or will they be similar? See quite a few are going to f3k so hopeful that'll be decent.

Would love to get to Huskies but I'll be lucky to get a spot looking through the window by the time we get there.

There's a post in the other 'Where are you watching..." thread and someone's posted this. I noticed because I have a vague memory of stumbling in hungover to watch Southampton away when I was there a stag do weekend. Big enough place with a big screen and then smaller tellys on the wall, Liverpool Brighton contingent and some nice flags, it was a nice surprise as I looked to lick my wounds and watch the reds. I missed Coutinho's wonder goal because I had to run and do a shit, but that's a story for another time.

King and Queen , Brighton . Should be rocking - plenty of Reds, quite a few Scousers and Seville fans too hopefully,  being as Brighton has a lot of Spanish students/workers.

Two big screens and fairly easy to get served at the bar - big beer garden too. Always some singing and can get pretty mad when we score/win . :D

Beach party with some cans after that when/if we win , as happened after Istanbul and when Spain won the Euro and World Cup !

Bit quiet here as it was the first match of the season , people still on holiday and students not in Brighton - usually can't move !

Decent few of us going down F3K now by the looks of things, so should be a decent gig regardless.

If you're a bit a chill about posting in here, send me a PM and I'll give you my number so you can come join us.

Anyone else going to Bierschenke? I definitely won't be able to make it to F3K until after 7 - so I imagine it will be full to capacity well before that.

I'm heading down to Husky with me old man. Been persuaded by their twitter and hearing great things about that place for showing games over the last year or so. I'll be down there from around 6 as it looks like it'll be very busy indeed. It's just south of Elephant & Castle. If anybody wants to join then feel free to drop me a pm.

If you can't get to Husky by 6.30, I would think it makes more sense to go to Roxy, Husky is much smaller and will be rammed later.
