How do I send a link that opens in a specific browser?

The one I am sending now automatically opens in Internet Explorer but I want it to open in Edge

You can't send a link for a specific browser. It will just open in whatever is the default on your system. If you want to open it with another browser, either shift-right click it to get a 'open with' menu, or copy-paste it into the browser you want to use.

Does anyone know ballpark on what a job like this should cost?
Or what would a reasonable hourly rate be?

My sister's a gardener she charges around £10-£15 an hour depending on what she's doing.

Unless he's licenced and has to pay for the tip/waste removal she shouldn't have to pay extra either.

Was in the gym on Wednesday doing deadlifts and heard and felt a pop and rip in my bicep, towards the elbow. Pain wasn't too bad but the muscle had moved up an inch or two, which was quite disconcerting at the time (as was the noise it made). Went to A&E but they sent me packing without really doing anything, just said they were going to refer me and to expect a phone call.

It's been a few days now and the pain has mostly subsided, my arm around the elbow just feels weak albeit much better than it was. It looks more normal as well. Weird thing is that the bruising has come up in the middle of the forearm? Nothing around the area that felt affected when it happened.

I've done some research and a distal tendon tear seems to fit with what I experienced when it happened, but then it doesn't feel as though its going to be that serious given the lack of pain now and the improvement I've experienced?

Anyone with any alternative theories? I don't hold out much hope of hearing from the hospital, which is annoying as I guess surgery should be pursued quite quickly if it has teared.

Yup. Although there's a subtle additional nuance about 'B'. By default, the bus the speaker takes home will indeed be a later one than, say, the one originally planned for, however it's more general here, i.e. "later as opposed to now or soon" - it's a non-specified moment in time and the exact bus is also non-specified......if they're not careful and they lose track of time, they'll miss the last one and end up walking home, like a sad 15 yr old who earlier that evening had left The State a few seconds too late, arrived at the Roe St gyratory seconds after the last 5 to Woolton had already left and was subsequently trudging forlornly up towards Allerton Rd at 1.30 and still only halfway home.......

You are pretty much correct in what you are thinking. In B though, the speaker isn't saying he will not take the bus now and will instead wait for a later bus, he's saying that when he does go home, which will be later in the day, he will take the bus.

Yeah this is what I was going to say. It's much easier to think of B with a different item, that doesn't conform to a "timetable" if you like.

"I'll have a later flan" means there's constant flans but I'll wait to have one later.

"I'll have a flan, later" means later on today (or whenever) I'm going to eat a flan.

As if happens, I've never had flan.

I think A implies a choice between two buses "the earlier one" and "the later one". It assumes the listener knows which bus you're talking about. (in reality, they probably don't have a clue, and there are more than two buses, and you're just saying that to say that you're staying extra long in work today).

In B, the emphasis is likely on "bus" - as when you're answering the question, "how are you going to get home?". The "later" is just there to say you're not doing it right now, and is also a bit dismissive, as to say, don't worry about it.

I had a hunch there might be a way to do this by embedding a tag in the html, so I looked it up and lo and behold, I found this:

(Though as others have said, it “automatically” opens in whatever the user’s default browser is, which may already be Edge, but this could be a good way of forcing it - assuming the user has Edge installed.)

Surgery isn't always indicated though and depends entirely on the severity of the tear. Did the hospital say who they were going to refer you to? Could either be orthopaedics or to physio, but I'd be pushing to see at least one of those as soon as you can if I were you.

The travel company is claiming that the trip isn't cancelled because South Africa might open its borders before November. Apparently, their insurers claim that if SA opens its borders, our trip can happen - even if the FCO advice is not to go there.

Our insurers say if we went there in defiance of FCO advice, it would invalidate our insurance. The travel company insist in their terms and conditions that we have to have insurance to travel, but claim we can take out another (expensive) high-risk policy with a specialist. I can't see that it's incumbent on us to solve the dichotomy between their Terms and Conditions and their insurers' dodgy opinion. Do you think I'm on safe ground?

I spoke to my travel insurance on this, as we are booked for Tenerife at the end of October and this is still going ahead, as advice may change. They told me that so long as we booked when FCO advice was travel was OK (it was) and 7 days before the date of the trip FCO advice is essential travel only, then we are covered. She told me the first point of call is the company (Jet2) who should offer a refund or a suitable alternative trip. If that doesn't happen, then to go through the credit card company and if that fails, the travel insurance will pay out. They cannot take you to an FCO "essential travel only" place for a holiday. I feel they are trying to get YOU to cancel so they can charge you a cancellation fee/full holiday, as they know they will have to refund or give an alternative.

We were due to pay our final payment after I spoke to the insurance company, so I paid on a mastercard.

Basically if you cancel, you're fucked cos its your decision. The holiday companies are hanging on until the last minute hoping people will do this, or that you'll move the holiday to say Italy and pay the fees to swap. We've had two holidays cancelled and had the money back from both, Majorca in May and Mexico in October - Tenerife was booked using the refund from Mexico. We'll just wait now until Jet2 cancels this and then get yet another refund, unless there is a U turn and they allow travel and then we'll be going.

Mad thing is I can't go to Tenerife, but I can go to the 10 miles to Bolton..................

Whats everyone been doing with cancelled Easyjet flights?

One of my flights from July was cancelled - the outbound went ahead but i didnt take it as wasn't going to travel anyway and the return flight was cancelled.

Easyjet are offering to change the flight to literally any flight I want - any date, and departure and destination airport - up until September 2021 for no fee and no fare difference. I'm thinking that might be better than going through the hassle of getting a refund as can see flights being more expensive next year and I will be making the same flight next summer anyway (wedding postponed until then).

Couold backfire if Easyjet were to go bust though.

You cannot ring them. I googled about and it turns out that Ofcom, in a bid to reduce hoax 999 calls, barred it. Its been found that SIM less phones are used to make the majority of hoax calls. I did read that 999, 911 are pre-programmed into the phones as emergency numbers, so when dialled the phone is aware. This is used when you cannot get a signal on your network, but the phone can pick up another network and for a 999 call will swap, eg you are on O2 and no signal, but the phone can find an EE signal, so will switch to EE just for the 999 call.

Aside from your main question... it's pretty easy to set up your Authenticator on a new phone.

If it is Microsoft's Azure AD you are using just go to http://aka.ms/mfasetup on a computer and you can remove your old phone and add the new one - it will give you the QR code to scan.
