Definitely - thought that shot had squirmed in at first instead of hitting the goalie and onto the post and out.

Should be some shooting / freekick opportunities later on when Jamaica tire...

Really poor from the US. Bradley particularly has been woeful.

Another break by the US wasted. Final ball has been horrible.

Disappointing end. Just had those ~15 bad minutes in the first half that killed it for us. Shocked how many people are calling for Klinsmann to be fired though.

There were people calling for his head since he was hired. Personally, I'm indifferent towards him. This current crop has very little talent outside of Dempsey and Bradley. Once Dempsey retires, this team is going to be screwed for a while unless someone else with goals magically appears. A defender with a brain would do miracles for this side too.

Go get that win Panama.

Mexico awarded a questionable penalty in the 89th minute and Panama are furious.

It's the 97th minute and still the penalty hasn't been taken.

There were shoving matches and also things being thrown from the stands at the Georgia Dome.

It's a tough call. I honestly don't know if it was a pen or not. Extremely unlucky though for sure. Walking off would have been petulant.

Leon Bailey - supposed awesome Bundesliga winger - is brainless. I get that he is young - and in this tourney surrounded by dross - but he's as guilty as the rest. One shot from 20 yards after another. And the diving - not realizing this is the Gold Cup - they don't call much.

We'll lose.

He's getting too pretty, "resting" players because we've already qualified. Suppose he's confident we can beat Jamaica instead of Curacao, and I believe would put us across from Mexico until the Final.

Not certain about the last bit, let me check...

Edit: Was wrong, if we beat Jamaica, we would play winner of Panama/Curacao in the semi.

Which might be another reason for all the changes. Seems a bit too cagey, though. The whole point to the tournament is supposed to be preparing for WC Qualification, where we so badly dropped the ball last time. And Berhalter is trying to change the playing style.

Makes sense to play as many matches as possible in the new style then, no?

He'll certainly learn something about his squad depth if they lose tonight mate. I'd love to stay up and watch this (especially given that US XI) - but it's on at stupid o' clock UK time...

A bit strange that MLS & USL games are being played whilst this match vs Panama is being played too?

The norm over here. The commissioner always wants to assert the dominance of his "brand" in his eternal quest to make the league as much like the NFL as possible...
