What a fucking pass from Griezmann  :lickin

See Pelligrini, this is how you approach a game against Barcelona, Sociedad with a much inferior team than City have shown more ambition against Barca.

To be honest, this is not Barca's best 11, and this is after a tiring match ~2 days ago. No way Barca would play an important game like vs City this shit.

The whole world knows that Barcelona need TWO centre halves, and they go splash all their budget on Neymar...

Still Sociedad showed more ambition than City, they identified Barca's weakness and targeted them.

Instead of rebuilding the back four in the summer, Barca needlessly spent money on Neymar.

To be fair, Neymar has been pretty handy especially when Messi was injured. The problem is with the price they paid for Neymar, they spent their entire budget on one player who wasn't their priority, when they could have had 4-5 players who strengthened this team to a whole new level.

If they were smart, they won't sell Masch, especially if they want to rotate Busquets. Song isn't suited to this team at all, so if it comes to selling one of him or Masch, they should sell Song. Buy an three CBs and one left back, plus sell Tello, Cuenca and maybe even Pedro (if they plan on giving Delefeuo a major role in the team next season).

Saying that, I don't think they will do any of that, and they will just buy one CB in the summer and that's it.

What in this world is happening to Pique,...

From top 3 defender in the world, to absolutely average in space of a couple of years. He was woeful again today. Maybe, it is Shakira's fault after all.

Pique's form is one of the reasons, I can't see Spain keeping their WC crown this Summer.

If Del Bosque is not planning to use Javi Martinez in midfield, and he doesn't seem to entertain that idea for a minute, he could play Martinez-Ramos combo in defense. But Martinez is fairly slow, slower than Pique.

Anyway, Pique, when he motivates himself, is still a great defender. I doubt Spain will lose because of him. A team without big changes cannot keep winning for more than 5-6 years. To be honest, if I won what Xavi, Iniesta, Pique etc. won, I'd be even worse. Winning biggest titles multiple times and then what? It's like being with the same lady for years. After several years, her naked body doesn't excite you as it used to at the beginning ;D

Not really. Neymar has been a superb signing for them to be honest, and is well worth that fee, taking into account potential, performances, marketing.etc.

Neymar is a top young talent. And considering the interest from rich clubs, he would have cost that much or more for any club.

That said, I disagree with his purchase if it meant blowing all transfer money for 1-2 years. For that much money, Barca could have got 2-3 top first team players. Neymar plays in an area where Barca already has plenty of players, and plenty of up and coming talent. Even if Neymar is deemed to be a "must buy" purchase, then, Tello, Pedro or Sanchez should have been sold to generate money for defenders. Players like Rafinha and Delufeu are coming up, what is the point of having so many players of the similar ilk? Again, Song or Mascherano should have been sold to generate money. Finally, Thiago should have been kept.

Barca's terrible transfer policies for years have not strengthened but weakened the club. So much money wasted on players that did not improve the first team, and right now, there are gaping holes in the first team. A great coach has to come in and make the big changes Guardiola did to wake up this team. Like in the latter days of Rijkaard, the team has been underperforming.

Messi just doesn't look interested at the moment.  Don't know if it is the injury taking its toll or if he is saving himself for the world cup but he just doesn't look like the same player.  Agree about Barca defense - you can see why they wanted Agger.  He's way better than anything they presently have.

I said some days ago that last season Barcelona (100 points in the league) was more solid than Tata's Barsa. The performances against Valencia, Sevilla and Real Sociedad in just a few weeks were unthinkable in past years, and something tells me it won't stop here.

Still Sociedad showed more ambition than City, they identified Barca's weakness and targeted them.

The one who targetted Barcelona weaknesses was Tata Martino, leaving Xavi and Cesc off the pitch and again playing the walking zombie upfront.

Man, you are far too much anti-Messi. He is not at his best, but it is not excuse for other attacking players like Pedro, Alexis and Neymar, who in their best days don't produce what Messi is producing now.
