Babel and Maxi wide hopefully.

Think this will tough. Take a draw?
No, jazz. You fear jazz. You fear the lack of rules, the lack of boundaries. Oh look, it's a fence. But, no, it's soft.

Thats the team i'd like to see.  Pace passing movement.  Mabye if someone can tell Carra that the ball is not allowed to go over head height we might see some good football too :)

What were the odds? Torres might not start, new players coming in to an up and down side, 2 goals scored in the league so far against a side who have consistently proved hard to break down at home. Plus we've won once in our last 10 away games scoring 8 goals in our last 13 (incl 4 v Burnley) against a side who we've drawn against 6 times in a row.

What I think the lineup SHOULD be:

Reina

Johnson
Skrtel (but no one has the balls to bench Carra)
Agger
Konchesky

Maxi
Poulsen
Meireles
Babel

Gerrard
Torres

i'm anticipating a raul-lucas partnership this game. so eager to see how the new fella plays.

also can't see torres not starting.

with roy's recent words about having babel as a backup striker i'm curious to see how eager roy is to play him out wide. hope he does, been a lot of talk about babel recently hopefully he can back it up and put in a good performance against birmingham.

the team i think will line-up:

                          reina
johnson carragher agger konchesky
                     raul lucas
              maxi gerrard babel
                        torres

What is the point in putting Lucas in the midfield for a tough away game that will be characterised by combativeness? Can't see it happening.

We should benefit in an attacking sense in this match from not having Kuyt available, as the temptation to use him seems to great for Hodgson to resist.

We need to pound them into the ground before the next game against the Mancs. I would be happy with a nice 4-0.

But a win for sure. Birmingham are no mugs these days, they are well organised and will give us a good game. But we need a win! ;)

Listened to Roy's tv interview last night and was shocked to hear him saying he would view the league after about 10 games and we were probably going to be losing a few games. Does he realise he is the Liverpool manager? Or has he heard something?

I've been  behind Roy so far and been pleasantly impressed with his start - however.......

We need to get 3 points tomorrow if we are serious about getting into the top 4, if not challenging. What we don't need is to be playing catch-up with other teams before Xmas.

Hope to see a team that goes for it tomorrow, without being silly, so expect something like -

....................................................Reina................................................
Johnson...................Carra................................Agger................Konchy
..............................Poulsen..........................Lucas................................
Babel......................................Gerrard...................................Jonanovic
..................................................Torres..................................................

with some attacking options on he bench (Pacheco, Ngog, Maxi)

Nothing wrong with what Roy has said.

Dont know if you gamble but they say you shouldnt beat on football games until after 10 games - why cause thats when a true picture of the league is starting to form.

On the bench.

Why? We really need to break away from the Poulsen/Lucas midfield , dont understand why you have Merieles on the bench.
