It is incredible they won three of these group matches. Probably lead for at best 45 mins of the 450+ they have played.

Massive beheading?

Newcastle signed Maguire?

Haha.

One doesn’t not “sign” Maguire. One can only hope to be blessed with his presence.

Camp Nou is half empty. Isn't this an important game for Barca?

Yes, they have to win. Otherwise they'd have to go win in Munich on the last day to got through.

The state of that Barca XI. Ter Stegen, Araujo, Pique, Lenglet, Demir, Alba, Busquets, De Jong, Gonzelez, Gavira, Depay.

Pique, Alba and Busquets were good once but not anymore.

Reads like some of the teams Hodgson put out when he was here.

Absolute joke of a group that. Juve miles behind Milan in Serie A who are bottom of our group and sat there with 4 wins out of 4 and qualified.

The only good thing is that law of averages determines that the longer Chelsea go without a loss, the more likely they are to lose a game - hopefully in the League so we can claw back some of their lead

The gulf is enormous beyond the Premier League teams (not United obviously) and Bayern. PSG also capable on their day but they aren't a team.

Real Madrid will reach the knockouts but fall short. The other La Liga teams would do well to just get out the group. Sevilla and Atletico may just see the Europa League as their route to glory again.

Serie A for the best part of a decade was Juve and nobody else (in terms of competing in the CL). Now it's just nobody.

Ajax might even end up being the best of the rest but they aren't going to win the thing.

As Fromola said above they're not a team and I don't really rate Pochettino that highly either. They'll always find a way to cock up the CL too. Yeah, I really do think the winner will be from one of those 4. I wouldn't even choose a favorite to be honest.

It's probably not a bad thing that Chelsea top the group over Juventus - chances are there'll be 3 Italian clubs as runners up in their groups, increasing our chances of playing one of them in R16. And let's face it, we wouldn't be quaking in our boots about facing any of them.

Also, I don't remember a time when were probably stone-cold favourites to win this competition. Even in 2019 the bookies probably had Barcelona, Bayern, Real ahead of us. Fast forward to today and who's better than us? Chelsea, City and Bayern might be as good but they're certainly not better.

Bayern, Chelsea and us could end up with PSG if they don't top the group.

That would be the draw to avoid.

Would rather avoid them and get an easier last 16 tie but wouldn't fear PSG at all, unless we had a Real Madrid away performance in us again. They'd probably raise their game over there and then wilt at Anfield.

We'll avoid Bayern and the English teams so should really make the quarters whoever we get. Same with Chelsea. City also can't even get PSG so will have an easy last 16 tie.

Then in the quarters you'll likely have City/Chelsea/Bayern/Liverpool and maybe United/PSG/Real.

City are favourites (bookies). You'd fancy us more against them if we actually had our best team out rather than a patched up midfield and Milner at right back.
