The Snooker thread

Thought id start this as theres a new thread that pops up for each tournement

Also like to mention how about Mr O'sullivan, whoever it was arguing with me a while ago about the greatest player in the world
Ronnie is currently leading Ali Carter 4-1, and in those 4 frames Ronnie has hot 3 centuries and a maximum!!!!!!

Same as in darts, Phil Taylor only went to certain tornys! Colin Lloyd went to every possible torny, thus gettin more rankin points and getting number 1! did it make him a better player no!!!!!!

No it doesnt. You think Ronnie is the best ever, hes not. I've just looked up that Ronnie has won 18 ranking tournements, and Hendry has 36. Anyone with a slight knowledge of snooker knows Hendry is the best ever. And that the current best player in the world is Higgins.

Just back from Belfast. And I had the pleasure of seeing one of the greatest snooker performances of all time, for 5 pounds.

Absolutely phenomonal Ronnie. 5 centuries including a majestic 147. Still buzzing after that 147, crowd were going mental!

If he was that special then he'd be a lot closer to 7 World Championships than he is. As it stands, he's on 2, and so he's not the best player in the world. He might be the most entertaining (or most psycho) but that's not what we're looking for in this discussion.

Exactly. Until he gets at least another 3 or 4 world titles and a few other ranking tournaments under his belts he wont be considered as the best ever.
