Mignolet currently isn't an issue.

According to Paul Joyce, Karius will be in goal for the Champion's League this season.

Have at look at his posts. He's a 37 year old man whose display picture is a young woman. He got tired of putting salt on slugs in his mum's basement and decided to have a fish.  ::)

no need to get personal now mate.

I know, but that does't mean Mignolet is an issue at this time.

First issue is the keeper. Second is Lovren

I'm not Klopp. It's just a personal preference in regards to a potential line up. If Karius is in I won't be disappointed.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

Karius will be in goal and Lovern is part of our first choice CB pairing

The Keeper?????

Its not a problem, but I suspect you think Karius will start based on the article by Paul Joyce.

Man, the slagging off of these two is unbelievable.

Good OP, can't wait personally after yesterdays little hiccup.

Managed to get a few hours off in the afternoon so  will be able to soak up the atmosphere/ale and enjoy being back in our rightful place, not worrying about the defence/keeper and all the other bollocks.

Nice to see some of you paid attention to the OP. Bunch of fucking children on these boards nowadays, you can't have a decent thread without it falling into some name-calling slanging match and a bunch of whining bastards. I get you have an opinion and you don't think Mignolet is good enough, that Lovren and the defence isn't good enough and whatever other 'agendas' or whatever people want to call them. I probably agree with you. But these arguments just go on and on and on and spill into every thread. I get people are pissed off about yesterdays result, I am too. But it's got fuck all to do with this thread. And neither has any individual players ability (or lack of). It doesn't mean we should just post random positivity and say we're all blinded by our rose tinted glasses and everything is absolutely perfect. Because it probably isn't perfect. But Liverpool in the Champions League with a genuine world class manager and a side with a few players who seem to be on the brink of entering the higher bracket of talent, is pretty fucking close to perfect if you ask me. Especially after some of the turgid shit hands we've been dealt over the last 7 or 8 years. But fuck it, what's the point in trying to be positive? Even if it's just for one thread for a massive game we should all be excited for.

State of RAWK.

Just about the perfect fixture to blow yesterday and it's bullshit out of the water.

I don't think that we should really consider yesterday's result in relation to this game, or any others.

The team has so much going for it. I've said before that our defence could be so much stronger if Klopp wants. But he doesn't. He's sacrificed some defensive stability for a fucking fantastic attacking team.

One thing I truly hate is the dicking on players by fans. Klavan, Lovren, Migs, Gini, Moreno, the list goes on. I get that players have weaknesses, that fans get frustrated, but people get so fixated on some players. It becomes a witch-hunt. If you look hard enough, you'll find mistakes that lead to something.

Just get behind the team.

Good OP, btw.

After our recent hammering and Sevilla looking in good form,  I think this will be a tight game and will take a draw.  Need to slowly rebuild confidence after Saturday and I'm not expecting miracles.

I am quite optimistic of a win against Sevilla.

That said; every year, (until it is no longer mathematically impossible to win everything), I always expect Liverpool to win every competition that they enter every though I do not personally consider that the FA cup or the Micky Mouse cup is important and it is probably better to get out of them quickly to concentrate on the League Title and on Europe.

Next to the League Title the UEFA Champions League is very important and since it is still mathematically possible I do believe that we can win both this year

I hate to sound a little negative but the name Sevilla reminds me of the 2016 UEFA Europa League Final when I recall that one of our own players was effectively Sevilla's best player in the second half of that game when the run into a win in that final was turned into a loss.

Here we are a year on and inexplicably that same player is still with us and although he is much improved the thought of his being in our ranks if the game was vital to Sevilla is a concern to me.

This weeks game it probably will not be an issue as it is not vital to Sevilla but imagine that it was important for another European Final or a game that was vital to Sevilla.

Lots hope that my concerns are unjustified.

Quite a experienced side , defensively they look strong and very able playing a 4141 in all 3 games in la liga so far.We all know NZonzi who sits in Front  of the back four .Look a well balanced side , slightly stronger defending than attacking .

Tough game but a European night and atmosphere at Anfield should see us start of with a tough and close home win 2-1.

One of the toughies in our Group as these are as we all know are a very good side. Wont be easy and its us v them for the Group. Narrow victory for us but a draw not a disaster against a very good experienced and tallented side.

Disagree on Migs as he is getting a lot of shite for circumstances beyond his control, whats in front of him is making his rep worse. Lovren and Matip have to start its our best option.

Winning the group means the second leg of our last 16 tie would be at Anfield, that alone is a massive advantage.

Point taken, however you could potentially get a much more difficult opponent by finishing first than second.
